A guy from the UK posting a valid, reasonable opinion. The world is clearly coming to an end.

The Klitschko monopoly needs to come to end, when Haye beats Valkuev and gains the WBA title, we'll have champion that is good to watch - finally!

What the **** are you on about? End of the day Haye is a professional boxer who punches for pay. He was going to go in with one of the biggest punchers in the world. You don't do that kind of **** for peanuts.

    Life experience my ****ing arse.

ok so he is a professional boxer, at the momet he has nothing, no Wlad Fight, no Vitali fight an no setanta. Had he fought Wlad for free (and won) he would be world champ, people would want interviews, sponsership, he would comand a bigger purse size next fight. Also he would not have as many critics giving reasons to hate him.

But that aside if you do something even if its for money and you get offered to have a oppurtunity at the BIGGEST achievement in your Area, in your SECOND legitimate HW match you would take it. People say this is all about the money now days and that proberly true, but i never argued he would or wouldnt take it i said I would because its a amazing oppurtunity

Everytime a boxer goes into the ring he is putting his life on the line. This is the most dangerous sport out there, I would not expect ANY boxer in the world to fight for free.

Also, Haye would not command a bigger purse in his next fight. He had already said that if he had beaten Wlad then he would have to give Vitali a fight and then give Wlad a rematch. The purse for these fights was fixed in the original contracts and it wouldn't have earned Haye much money.

Being The Heavyweight Champion is the pinnacle of this sport IMO but it's not guranteed to feed you. Look at the amount of great boxers that have fallen on hard times despite their success in the ring. Haye's a smart guy, he didn't take the Wlad fight because the risk was too big.

It's easy for us to say behind our keyboards that we would have fought for free but it's completely different when you are actually faced by that proposition.

I would agree with you if it wasnt for him calling out the Klitschkos and telling everybody and their mama that he will fight Wladimir and Vitali next. He should have signed to fight Valuev a year ago, hell he should have signed some contenders first before Valuev like Areola, Chambers, Povetkin to test the waters at HW and gain recognition and experience needed to fight a Klitschko. Widdow_Maker has been telling you this all the time that Haye should earn the Klitschko fight by fighting other top 10 HWs and you wasnt listening and now you are saying that its good that he is fighting other HWs before facing Klitschko.

If that's true then he should have never signed this first contract.

Anyone know any of the details of the contract he was offered for the Vitali fight? Was it worse than the Wlad one?

Dissapointing after the smack he talked but lets say he does beat valuev then signs to fight a Klit next year, then it will be an even bigger fight and a unification! Trouble is as a boxing fan i wanted to see the fight now now NOW!

BTW J.E.Cash, who is that chick in your avatar? She is Fine

why do you think it would be the biggest and the toughest fight of life? didn't Haye at first say that he'd easily walk through them? he's only 28, and if he'd win - wouldn't he have been in the real beginning of his spectacular career and rains of bucks?
    beginning
isn't this what he wanted? to fight and demolish both Klitchkos? so what happened? a change of priorities?

slave contract, slave contract - bull****! slave contracts can be easily nulled in court! he should appear on 20.06 and he didn't, while he signed. He started his mouth-marketing for the fight with Vitaly - and then quietly signed with Valuev.

Yes, he's good in promoting himself, but as long as he'll continue his games without fighting he'd be fairly considered as unproven HW hype.

its amazing how the Brits have "circled the wagons" around Haye

    Let me ask a question.

If Vitali was set to sign with Haye and then signed a backdoor deal to fight Arreola AFTER Wlad backed out of a fight with Haye cause "Wlad hurt his back" AFTER the Klitschkos talked **** for 12 months and wore t-shirts with decapitated head of Haye...After Wlad confronted Haye at a charity event calling Haye out... How would you feel about the situation?

And try to be HONEST with yourself
