I want this fight to go the distance, ending early for either guy doesn't prove much as there will still be questions. If it ends early people still won't know how Mayweather can handle a fight going in the late rounds after the long layoff nor will we know how Marquez can handle it at the new weight.

Hoping to see a competitive fight with a fair result.

In his prime. You could make the argument that as he has experienced health problems and his sturdiness has deteriorated, he might be more susceptible to in-the-fight wear and tear.

If I'm not mistaken, Castillo broke one of his ribs in their first fight which led to Mayweather's most controversial decision win, as he slowed down in the second half of the fight.

I don't know. Food for thought.

PBF had a bad shoulder going into that JLC fight which lead to him being not as good as he could have been. It happened a few days before the fight and didn't have enough time to heal. The rib injury happened at the beginning of July and this fight will be in the middle of September. He will have enough time for it to heal. With that said PBF is a second half fighter.

I like Donaire but he has no place in the top 10 P4P and is largely unproven outside of KOing Vic. PBF is a proven champ in multiple weights classes and the former P4P #1 for 3 years...horrible comparison.

Good luck to him, nobody else seemed to have that sort of luck so far.

He'll probably have time for it to heal. But what if it was actually a broken rib, and not a bruised rib? You wouldn't be able to tell from touch, the tissue around it would be swollen for a couple weeks, though an x-ray would probably reveal it.

Then he'd have to tell his sparring partners to take it easy on his body until it was ready for it. If that disrupted Floyd's training or his preparedness for the fight, then you could argue that he would legitimately be more vulnerable.

All you gotta do is jab Mayweather, that's his weakness you gotta lead with the jab. That's about his only weakness, he doesn't like the jab in his face. If Marquez tries to just go in and hit his body, then he is in for a long long night.

We'll see how easy this plan goes off.
