well when you pick two of the weakest you could possibly pick. then yes, they are hyped. it's been proven with lacy, not necessarily with arreola. although i don't really think arreola's going anywhere.

pavlik is obviously not overhyped. he's the middleweight champion of the world. the only person to beat him was a stylistic nightmare named bernard hopkins. a fighter who is not only WAAAYYY more experienced, slicker, more multidimensional, crafty, etc. but also much BIGGER. if you think pavlik is overhyped, i have no explanation for you.

 

i would definitely say calzaghe, khan, hatton, and haye are far more overhyped by you guys across the pond than pavlik ever has been by american fans... go figure

Hatton was a good fighter nothing more.

in fact i am anyway that a haye/klit fight is being put off AGAIN.

I class myself a Haye fan (yeah am a brit but thats only part of it) but was dying to see him fight Wlad/Vitali. Don't get me wrong am under no elusions would favour either to beat him but he seemed a breath of fresh air.

Am willing to give benefit of the doubt for now as career to date haye always looked for biggest challenges and shown balls but looks like a ***** right now for backing out, though not seen vitali fight stipulations.

To play devils advocate though can understand him going after a belt first for negotiating purpose but after shiz he talked looks bad. Lets just hope he wins and ca1n fight one of the bros next year in an even bigger unification fight
