who wins and why? :bbb Bradley TKO9 Good handspeed, great stamina, a good chin, and a some solid skills! Both will come out feeling each other out for 2-3 rounds, Campbell will touch Bradley up during rounds 4-6, but Bradley will keep putting the heat on him and TKO him in the 9th or 10th!
This is a pretty tough fight to pick... Campbell SD12 based on recently beating a giant Funeka and the fact that Bradley hasn't convinced me he's top notch yet. He beat Witter, but Junior looked terrible in that bout. Beat Cherry, but so what, if you're champ you BETTER be able to beat Edner. Holt is a pretty good fighter but not much heart, and he won his belt on a headbutt. The X factors are how Campbell will deal with the new weight, and the fact that Bradley seems to be steadily improving.
bradley SD after campbell fades. I think nate is the better fighter but he's old, has trouble making weight and despite the diaz and funeka wins, i see bradley outworking him hardcore in the championship rounds
Bradley SD Bradley wont knock out Nate he's not a finisher and save the occasional sweet right hand like the one's that KD Witter and Cherry hasn't shown much power I think Bradley will outwork Nate in a really tough fight. A lot of this depends on what kind of shape Campbell in, if he's in great shape and ready to fight like he did against Diaz I can see Campbell winning I have my doubts with his age and all who knows though the move up in weight might be a good thing for him.
I think Bradley is going to win, but I shall be rooting for the frequent guest of "On the Ropes", Nate Campbell. :smoke
I honestly think Timothy Bradley is one of the better all around fighters in the sport right now. He has tremendous conditioning, a rock of a chin (seriously, how many fighters get up from that left hook that Holt floored him with in the first??? My answer? NONE!), great ring intellect, pinpoint timing, a very varied offense (his body work is breathtaking...no pun intended), he is strong as a bull and his footwork, movement and defense are also all top notch. The only knock I have on him is that he tends to come into fights wanting to fight the other fighters fight...before settling in and controlling the majority of the rest of the fight. For example, he came in so wound up against Kendall that he ended up standing in front of him and going toe to toe...paid for it in the first...calmed, used his movement and his body work to control pretty much the rest of the fight. He needs to come in and use his ring intellect and strengths to his advantage...if he can learn that, he will be a staple in the p4p rankings for a long time. I honestly think he can...and he will. Bradley WIDE UD...maybe a late TKO win. I dont think Campbell stands a chance. The 1st of August will be Timothy Bradley's coming out party.
Campbell in a close decision. He was ducked when he was unified lightweight champ and will want to make his mark at light-welter. His experience, ability to come on strong in the final rounds and determination will see him through. Bradley is a very decent fighter though, so I am really looking forward to this fight
