I must admit i was having Abraham as a favourite for the SMW tournament coming up. But im checking his record. And im like. What has he done? :patsch. Lets see he won a vacant title off a guy who barely got past a way past his prime Echols. Echols was okay in 2004 but he was way past it by then. He has 2 wins over Miranda. The most feared club fighter in the world, with lets be honest, the least amount of boxing skills. And is there anything else? A few wins against top 10 opponents, the end side of the top 10 and it was controversial they were even that high?

For this reason Jermain starts as favourite and i will be putting a small wager on him. its also important to understand a lot of chinny guys have gone 12 with Arthur to.

I think it would be insane to make AA the favorite to win. He hasn't even fought at 168 yet. Kessler should be/is the favorite to win it all.

Abraham certainly doesn't have the most stellar resume. He's strong, powerful with a damn good chin though. However, I think good boxers like in this tournament will give him fits especially as he is moving up in weight. He is not a long SMW and that could be a problem espeically moving up as he may have problems closing distance.

Taylor is a damn good boxer but he implodes down the stretch against top opposition. The good news for Taylor is that Abraham has a very low workrate. However, you have to wonder about Taylor's mental state going into this fight after another devastating ko. But I think Taylor is a pretty resiliant character. Tough fight to call which could go either way.

Forced to make a pick, I'd take Taylor on pts but Abraham by very late ko is a very possible outcome.

AA is indeed tough, he wont beat Taylor though. I think his promotors know this, hence the mystery Bute deal.

To me he really is unproven and I see him in the same way as Dirrel and Ward going into the tournament. Meaning they will all have to dig very deep to win. Kessler will probably be the most consistent and hardest to beat. You know Froch can be out boxed but has a good chin and big balls. While Jermain probably has the most talent but the biggest question mark. Can he fight a full 12 and if not can he make it all the way through.

Abraham at least fought world class fighters and fought Miranda when Miranda was at his best. Dirrell has fought literally nobodies and never step up to face at least a decent contender like a Bika or somebody like that. Anything can happen in this tourney and we just gotta wait and see.

It's not me. I don't need an alias to come out and say Arthur Abraham may very well be the most over rated fighter on the planet right now.

That honor goes to David Haye in the HW division.

Watching 5 of his fights changed my opinion alot. I went from believing a lot of the hype to realizing he's just a club fighter. The Simon and Oral fights confirmed my opinion.

AA is not a club fighter. If he was he would have lost the belt a long time ago. Sturm been fighting the same kind of fighters and he been winning D12. AA takes these guys out and when he did step up he won impressively. There is a reason Pavlik and Arum been delaying a fight for a while with AA.
