John Ruiz has stepped up and played match killer, he is the #1 Contender and Valuev needs to sign the fight against his mandatory before August 30th.

Also interesting to note is that WBA has not sanctioned the Valuev-Haye fight so it will definitely not be for the title, removing the "Oh if he gets the title at least he has more leverage" argument".

My thoughts are with Valuev needing the belt to retain any reason for top fighters to fight him, he won't give up the belt and we're more likely to see Ruiz vs Valuev

Meaning Haye, for all his chicken**** bravado and plumping of the feathers, is going to be out of a fight. This cracks me up and serves Haye right - you do not sign a contract, back out on fake injuries then agree to the same contract and again back out when you've called out the champions and said you would do and I quote "Anything" to get a shot.

moreover, the WBA hasn't even ruled on Chagaev yet which was delayed. They may very well still order Valuev-Chagaev II and install Ruiz as the next in line.

He's fast becoming an irrelevant joke due to the time out of the ring, failed negotiations and the fact that after chasing the Klitschkos, he finally got his shot (against either of them) and backed out both times.

Haye is one of the most stupiest fighter on the planet. He turn down both Klits fights. He didn't even think That fighting Valuev will be good just like that but forget that the wba is a title that has Ruiz as the mandatory challenger and has Chagaev as still another half of the wba title. So basically Haye is again with no fight schedule. I love it this makes Haye and Biased Haye fans look like dumb fools.

If this happens, then I will have lost almost all interest in this division. The politics are insane.

Or maybe he can try winning a couple of fights and becoming a mandatory?
