Ruiz has a legal basis . . . if the rule book is going to be considered.

i ****ing hate ruiz. He is one of the most lucky fighters along with golota in terms of title shots. After a super middleweight roy jones jumped to heavyweight and humiliated him, he should have commited suicide. Let him have a re-match with david tua instead, whenever im depressed i just watch the video of tua v ruiz.

Look wlad klitschko can't take a punch we know this. But haye is starting to get me pissed. I'm tired of all the talk its time to get in the damn ring and fight. By the way haye has a weak chin also.

I would not be shocked if Haye is beating Valuev easily and then gets knocked out late in the fight do to being gassed.

Haye has done this to himself. He should have shut his mouth and worked his way up the ranks thereby gaining leverage and credability. Now, it's quite possible he's out of action til 2010 if the WBA mandates a Chagaev-Valuev or Valuev-Ruiz fight first. Remember, they haven't ruled on their WBA HW title situation yet. They postponed their decision after Chagaev asked for his fight with Wlad to be sanctioned by the WBA.

Wow. I guess if we can't have exciting drama filled heavyweight matches, we can at least get exciting drama filled soap opera during the fight negotiations/promotions.

Looks like David Haye is going to be left out once again. And all this inactivity is going to kill Haye. If Haye can play his cards right, he may be able to get into a WBA HW title eliminator against Ruiz, but that probably won't happen.

So on the basis of the (debatable) OPINIONS of some boxing fans Ruiz deserves a title shot???:nut:patsch

You are grasping at straws. This glorified clubfighter didn't deserve all the other undeserved shots he got years back - he deserves it even LESS now!:yep

As usual a good post by Scar.. Yeah Ruiz gets a lot of hell for his style.. but of you look at his resume he has fought and defeated quite a few good fighters.. He gets way more flak then he deserves..

Ruiz deserves ALL the flak he gets - and more. From the time he rose suspiciously in the rankings after signing with King, received undeserved title shot after undeserved title shot - and got carte blanche for his illegal holding tactics and other chicanery - everything Ruiz has done in the HW division is a fraud.

Ruiz is a cheater, exhibit A for boxing corruption. If the rules had been properly enforced in his fights, he would have lost every fight he ever had above the tomato can level, or gotten DQd. But they weren't, because King didn't want them to be. And that stinks to high heaven, as does Ruiz.

Haye should fight Ruiz and Vitali fights Valuev.

Than the winner fights each other.
