David Haye's Pullout: A Giant Blunder or a Smart Move ?

By the way this is the second dumb business decision Haye is making. He first was Setanta. Haye is not a good businessman. Everyone big has gone to court with King. King has a big record going to court with his fighters.

 

Smart move.

Valuev isn't chopped liver, although he was a bloody disgrace against Holyfield.

But he's more beatable for Haye than either Klitschko, is just the kind of extra-large heavyweight Haye needs to be fighting to properly prepare for those guys, and will give him a title belt and therefore better leverage in negotiations.

If Haye loses then of course it's a potential golden goose killed, but the pros outweigh the cons.

 

He got a very good deal from Setanta..... they paid way over the odds ive heard

 

You do not have the fight, but you have the deal. That's weird.

There is no way one gets less exposure/$$$ if he fights in front of 60 000, compare to 1 000. You have to think about in a long term too. Much more people will see you when you fight in front of 60 000. More people/more countries/more $$$ in a long term.

Poor business decision for Haye.

 

You think only in a short term. He lost money bacause of Setanta. He did not make the fight with Wladimir. Haye got 0 money.

Your career is not one fight only. You may win something from one fight but lose much more from the next fights. Long term is the key.

 

Well he has now got a deal with Sky Sports.... the biggest sports network in the UK & Ireland.

So he got a fantastic deal with Setanta (he didn't lose money) and now is with Sky Sports.....he can't be doing too badly, for someone who is not a draw

He lose money from Setanta. He had his camp for the fight, paid for it and for other things and got nothing. They call this losing money everywhere in the world.

Well Setanta went into Administration....so he would have recouped some money, it depends on the deal he got from the Administrators.

and I'm sure this fight isn't going to be infront of just 1,000 so it doesn't really matter
