So Pacfans: catchweight nontitle fight, or @ 147 for Cotto's title?

Obviously a win @147 would be much better for Pac's legacy. But I'm not complaining that we have a catchweight, it's a fair fight and it's gonna be a war, that's what matters the most for the fans.

Neither is fair for Manny Pacquaio. Both are favourable to Cotto.

145lbs is a fairer better fight
147lbs is a tougher higher rewarding fight

Is it not the most funniest thing in the world when boxing fans try to discredit Cotto's opposition by saying he has only won belts through them being vacant but never mention whom he has defended them against?

Your poll is designed so that there's only one possible choice. Legacy is greater at COtto's weight of 147. and a title fight is also better than a non-title fight obviously. But you placed 147 and title fight in one option.

You might be trying to verify some hypothesis but you need to structure your survey method in a logical manner consistent to your research objective. If you're still at school, try taking up some courses on research basics.

I would prefer it at 147 as it leaves no room for excuses. At 145 there would also be some (if not alot) of people claiming Pac only won due to Cotto being weight drained... Its only two pounds!!

We haven't seen pac get hit in a while, so I'm curious about that.

I'm sure cotto will get his hits in. But man if Manny keeps moving around, he still has a very good chance to dance his way to another victory.

What has made him successful is the ability to get his hits in while dodging BIG punches.

It's kinda like that hit in the hatton fight where manny hits hatton and slips hatton's left coming over the top. I am certain most boxers would get hit there.

I meant hit more like he really had to pull back go on defense and get his rhythm back.

Like in the hatton fight 2nd round Hatton got some good hits in and pac backed off for like one second, but was right back in there.

Something makes him go crap I need to be a bit more careful.

I am happy the fight was made...if 147 was the demand, not sure if we would see this fight. I guess making fights using catchweights does have advantages...especially for fans.

I laugh my ass off at people that say dumb stuff like this...If the weight was nothing then they wouldnt be making all the fuss about it...Pac and Roach wants Cotto weakened, if not they would do what they claimed and not worry about the weight...It makes a difference, but to those of us that carry around 20 extra pounds 2 dont is nothing, but to thos that live in that 5-8% body fat range two pounds is alot.

Cotto does not want to put his title at stake because he does not want to pay sanctioning fees of 3%. He wants Arum to pay it, I suppose or Pac.
