Due to Dan's request :yep, I have created a thread to discuss the next prizefighter tournament.

Sosnowski (Danny Williams conquerer and drew with Pianeta in his last 2 fights) has apparently been confirmed for the next tournament. There are also rumours of Audley Harrison competing in the tournament.

Do you believe they will keep getting opponents of this quality, or will they just have these two as the standout fighters?

Plus, surely they would have to up the ante with prize money?

Well if that's part of the line up i'm happy with that. I'm not a huge Prizefighter fan but i think they should have three good names at least and some up and comers or guys who have nothing to lose.

I think at the moment the tournament is be used by fighters who's careers are in decline i feel Hearn would have to push boat out a lot more to get a great line up...no fighter want's to risk losing in a three round fight to a guy swarming all over him and tarnish his record for £25,000.

They will have to sweeten the pot a bit more i agree.

Depends who else they put in there. If its Sosnowski, Audley and a load of bums making them look good that doesn't make for a good competition.

Sosnowski would win pretty handily I'd think unless they come up with something special. He can fight at a good pace and is a classy enough operator.

    How about:
    Sosnowski
    Harrison
    Greenburg
    Olubamiwo
    Sprott
    Mike Perez

    Wishful thinking!

I'd prefer some of them were just matched up in regular bouts. 3 rounds kinda demeans a victory.

Sprott might take part, he's only a journeyman these days and Olubamiwo might enter as well but there's no chance of Perez entering.

Sosnowski and Audley are not very high quality. the show has got good response and would be good exposure for any fringe heavyweight! Id like to see the whole tourney have better quality fighters, maybe some fringe contenders and former champs... make it more like the K1 Grand Prix.

I think it could do with more investment in the hype ala pretty girls, fireworks, ring entrances, also get rid of the fuddy duddy brass band, it may sound like grandour but in the York Hall it looks ****, it not even impressive in the Ealrs court.

Hearn should take the MMA/K1 template and target the younger audience, it could be massive if done right as it is a good watch - its 20/20 for boxing...

Prizefighter seems to be working so it wouldn't surprise me if something along those lines happened?.... wonder if Fury would be interested in it? He obviously don't need to but he's the type of guy that would love it as a test.... actually if Harrison IS in the touremant.... and wins, then that would make a very interesting test for Fury, assuming he beats McDermott first anyway.

Chinny bangers is all the event needs, not boring 12 round fighters.
