Eric Gomez, Golden Boy's Vice President said that Juan Manuel Marquez is one boxer that Hatton has a lot of interest in fighting. If Hatton would have beaten Pacquiao back in May, Marquez was being lined up as the fall opponent for Ricky. If Marquez is able to pull off the major upset against Mayweather, Hatton would like to fight him.

"What he has told Richard Schaefer in the past is that if he ever comes back, he wants it to be a meaningful fight," Gomez said. "He doesn't want to be anybody's steppingstone. He has expressed interest that if Marquez can pull off the fight against Mayweather, he would want to fight Marquez. And Marquez has been wanting to fight him for a year now. That's a possibility." "I know that many fighters have been knocked out cold and they come back and they win titles. So you never know. Amir Khan (is one). You have guys like Arturo Gatti. How many times did he get knocked out? He came back and won big fights. So you can never count anybody out. There are guys that Ricky can still beat"...

He would be a great stepping stone for Khan to help him into the American spotlight or Ajose Olusegun/McKloskey kinda standard fighter.

JMM would stop him I've no doubt about that. If he wants to 'repair' his legacy, or whatever way you want to phrase it, by taking one more decent scalp before he hangs them up then diving head first into a fight with JMM is not the way to go about it.

Unless he is totally shot he wouldn't be an easy stepping stone for anyone, I think he would beat Khan.

A prime Hatton would not have beaten Khan. He was too well protected to take the kinda risk that Khan offers.

I think even Hatton's army will seriously consider his credentials based on the Pacquiao showing, especially if he takes on JMM after beating PBF.

The Khan fight seems so logical. hatton is all about the money, and this is a biggest british fight in years if it takes off.

I think Khan or Bradley would be good options if Hatton decides to carry on. The last thing that Hatton needs at this stage in his career is a clever counterpuncher.
