So says Kevin Mitchell from the Guardian.

400k for a HW title fight that has 3 separate TV deals and a 60,000 gate is ****. The Klits should be ashamed of themselves.

The Klits are ****s- I have lost so much respect for them in the last few months. I hope Haye destroys Valuev and HBO forces a unification in Vegas just to stop the brothers calling every shot. Disgraceful.

no the sooner haye knocks them out the better we will all be

im sure the klits are pissed that haye is gonna get a version of the world title, things like this seem like they would really play on vitali and waldo's nerves a lot, considering they already dislike haye now they will hate the man, i love this move by the hayemaker

I see it's only the Klit huggers who are bashing on Haye now in the General.

Like I've said before, it was clearly not a contract that Haye was supposed to sign. It surprised Klitschko when he did and he then had no choice but to go ahead with the fight. He took the first opportunity he had of getting out of.

Klitschko. First chance he got. He could have postponed by a few weeks but decided to fight a safe opponent.

Thats more than a little harsh. He waits for the Haye fight to get signed, Haye pulls out (for whatever reason) so he takes on Chagaev on the same date.

Who's to say how long the postponement would have take, or if Haye would make the second date? Wlad had the stadium booked, the TV in place and had trained to fight on that date. I don't blame him one bit for taking on another fight.

  14. Haye asked to postpone the fight due to an injury. He didn't ask to get out of it. Wlad got out of it by saying no to fighting Haye at a later date, and fighting someone else instead.

    or

Haye faked an injury to get out of fighting Wlad. However, this theory only works if Haye knew Wlad would refuse, and fight someone else. The theory falls apart if Wlad agrees to wait a few weeks and still fight Haye.

Why should Wlad hang round for a few weeks to MAYBE fight Haye later on? He had a date all sorted and he fought on that date. The reasom for Hayes pull out isn't really relevant, its the fact he pulled out and not Wlad that matters here, all Wlad is doing is fighting when he was supposed to fight.

I don't think either fighter "ducked" each other or deliberately engineered the fight to collapse but it was Haye that pulled out of the original date (whether it was injury or financial) not Wlad.

Sometimes fights just get cancelled or collapse for a variety of reasons, it doesn't mean that one fighter is scared of the other or that it has to be one fighters "fault"....**** just happens.
