floyd mayweather, best defensive fighter of all time????

I wouldn't put Calderon in the same category with Mayweather. First off, he hasn't fought many fighters worth a damn. And when he did, Cazares managed to hit him quite a bit in their first fight. Secondly, his defense is pretty much just staying out of range, moving, moving, moving, then jumping in with a quick shot or two.

Mayweather has more facets defensively.....Calderon's only comparable in the footwork and movement department, but he CAN'T stay in the pocket like PBF does.

As i have stated before, Look at the corrales fight, he uses movement if you take the pubic hair out your ears during the fight you can hear George Foreman comment on how floyd has great defense within his movement" left left - right right Corrales is never able to time him" From big George.

Look at the Judah fight, when he realizes Judah has faster hands he employs a Winky wright type gaurd and applies presure behind the it. almost stopped him until the low blow back of the head combo.

Probably within the top 5 or just outside it. I can't see anyone who's miles better. Just depends what you like. IMO, his defense is pretty complete. He can block, slip, counter off the ropes, duck waist weight under punches, use foot movement, elbows, swivling and rolling, etc.

 

exactly, I'm not seying he is the best. No one can. but he can do many things well. not just one style of defense he has.
