I'm not disputing anything you were saying. The only thing that I don't recall, I'm not saying you are wrong, just saying I don't remember is the HBO and money situation. I know about the Arum/Goosen thing.

At the end of the day it's PW saying noboby wants to fight me but at the same time I don't want to fight Joshua Clottey.

There really is no point in Paul and Clottey fighting. A belt will not be on the line, it isn't for a mandatory spot. What is the point, hell it won't even bring in money.

With that being said, Paul is now ducking Clottey, that is if he wants to say he is a WW still.

Oh trust me...I do understand what your getting at...Thats something that Williams and his advisor must answer...I'll try to take a stab at it anyways...IMO I think Williams is probably using Clottey as a last resort...Who knows??? Thats the million dollar question.

Williams is trying to boost his legacy with bigger names other than Clottey...With his victory over Winky...I think Paul wants to gun for a mega fight with a top WW, JrMW, or MW...He's just looking for a bigger fights now IMO...Now if all of the other fights doesnt work as plan, then Williams will try to look for the next best thing avaliable (which may be Clottey)
(just my opinion on the situation:good)

No, I hear ya, and like I said I don't blame him at all. I just get sick of alll these people in here crying that no one will fight Paul Williams. He's had people wanting to fight him, just not the big fight he's looking for.

PW needs to stay busy. Anybody else calling him out besides Clottey? I know the other big names in boxing hasn't been breaking the door down trying to get a fight w/ PW for that's the only way he can really make big bucks.

Well, there's a good chance he's going to be fighting Kelly Pavlik so we'll see.

Clottey is a top WW. I'm sure his exposure has increased after the last fight and so should the money demand for this fight. If PW doesn't fight some on the level off or above Clottey then I'm sure people will be more critical of him.

All of a sudden he is a sub-par opponent. So far he was good enough for a Cotto fight but just not good enough for PW? Really?

This is just what I am sensing from a few of you guys.

Nah.. it's just silly that he has to keep fighting the guys who loses.. instead of getting a crack at Cotto, Shane, PBF, or someone like that. Enough.

When PW moved to light middle, it was announced by the ring that when he returns to welter he will retain his ranking position, which was no 2 behind Margarito at that time
