Could there be truth in Enzo Maccarenellis "blood tests"

    Remeber when Enzo Maccarenelli got knocked out by Ola Alflobai.

    Enzo started of strong and was unloading some big bombs - but Aflobai being a experienced sparring partner and knowing how to survive cover up well and stayed out of trouble. As the round wore on Enzo was leading on all scorecards clearly but the usually fit Maccarenelli of Wales faded very badly and was looking in trouble before that big shot finished him off.

    Enzo claimed after the fight there was something physically wrong with him that he couldnt explain and that he was competley ****ed after just 3 rounds and thinking of quitting.

    He revealed that the Monday morning after the fight he immediately went to the doctors for blood tests to see what was wrong with him.

    The results of the tests are unknown to the general public.

    Now after this latest shocking one sided loss - Enzo faded so tamely and quickly the question has to be asked

    Is there really something physically wrong with Enzo?

    yeah its called being overrated in the first place, a win over wayne braithwrite and everyone thought enzo was the cw saviour

    that was total bollocks from Enzo...he should just admit he was a padded-record, overhyped WBO glass-jawed journeyman from the get-go.
    Totally exposed.

    The problem could have been that he trained with beer kegs for the Afolabi fight instead of doing some sparring.

    Maybe he done the same against Lebedev.

    Or maybe he just wasn't that good in the first place.

    I'm with Betty on Enzo :patsch

    Who did he ACTUALLY beat?

    Mark Hobson beat him the first time.... other than a faded Braithwaite, and a few bull**** Sports Network two week notice WBO 'defences' and WBU fights..... not wishing to stick the boot in but he got to an incredibly high level with little substance.

    I disagree with nearly everything Betty says, but even he must admit that his arch enemy Ricky Hatton actually beat someone (actually plenty of people but anyway....) that could be described as quality operators.

    Lads, I do think maybe Mac was overated (definately was with regards to Haye) but to me, if he'd have had better confidence in his abililty I'd definately have had him to beat Lebedev and there's no argiuing he was outclassign Ofalobi.

    Shame, but he does get too much hate. He's a man just going out there and doing his best. Doesn't talk **** a'la Hatton, doesn't pretend he's the best ever a'la Joe

    I dont think Betty has ever questioned Hattons ability as a fighter.

    I think betty has acknowledged that Hatton is world class - as in mixing with the worlds best for world titles, etc

    Betty dosent like Hatton as a person - its not really anything to dow with his boxing ability

    Enzo has had 4 losses now in total but there is a geniune excuse for every one of them defeats..............


    L KO 3 Lee Swaby .............
    Out drinking with the boys the night before and still hung over

    L TKO 2 David Haye
    Made mistake the week of the fight - and made a mistake in the ring

    L TKO 9 Ola Afolabi
    No sparring - and had a lack of iron in his blood - causing him to be totally tired after just 3 rounds - doctors on Monday

    L TKO 3 Denis Lebdev
    Just couldnt get going - heart not in it - but he said he would destroy Lebdev in 2 rounds in his prime
