    Apparently Foreman avoided Jerry Quarry throughout his career because of a sparring session in 69 or 70 that Quarry dominated, hitting George like no other opponent before Ali did.

    I'm not even sure if it's true or not but Mac Foster supposedly knocked out Sonny Liston in sparring. Ali is said to have embarrassed Ingemar Johansson during a sparring session when he was an amateur.
