hmmm, i can agree with good win yeah. you're right: terrible match up for winky but he did what no fighter in the past ten years has done to winky. not since vasquez a decade ago has winky been so dominated. i think PW is a solid match up in a division lacking in any real names or talent (other than pavlik)

 

Yo walk, I am a pwill fan myself and he got big balls for fighting pavlik, but you even have to admit, I think this is too much for him, his physical stature does not belong in the ring with a BIG mw who hits hard, props to paul, but I dropped pavlik off my favorite fighters, fuc him, and this is a guy who his fans claim arthur ducked him:rofl

 

i was SURE it was mundine and was honestly kind of excited. but i don't count sturm as a champion or even a contender at this point. he lost to gevor, he won't fight anyone. he's a non entity. i understand your dissapointment though: i was chopping at the bit for an abraham match but that'll never happen. this is all we got right now

 

I definitely agree with you jorodz, but Sturm is a legitimate mw, gevor is also a legitimate mw, mundine would have been an ideal fight, he is a little underrated here on esb, **** fight korobov, a big hard hitting mw, not a boxer who has fought his whole career at 147/154.

 

Pavlik v Mundine is what i wanted...........Williams is ok tho

paul is 1000x more talented then kp... the only thing that I & most other fans cannot factor in is pauls ability to take a punch at 160 ( from someone as powerful as pavlik) from what i've read pauls spared all the way up to heavyweight .. ill try to find the list later

good post, though i don't think the difference in skill is THAT big i think pavlik and paul are BOTH great at what they do; they have there own distinct styles and for me it comes down to 1)who can dictate the pace (paul is non stop pressure from all angles, pavlik's pressure is more calculated, controlled with constant but well placed shots) 2)who can adapt when there are inevitable problems.

I have it 50/50 to be honest. I don't think this will be easy for either man by any means. Pavlik has only lost once, to one of the very best, so he cannot be discounted
