why pay the 3 percent WBO fee..that's money out your pocket.

I never thought about that. Cotto should just say my belt is not on the line due to being forced (MONEY) to come down to 145. He will save much money.

cotto has no choice but to add his WBO belt so that he could get more concessions on the bargaining table. 145 is still a legal weight for a welterweight bout to take place.

just look at it this way, what if they hide from the media the provision from their contract that neither fighter should be above 145 on the weigh-in? we all know that it is a 147 limit fight. cotto weighs 145 and pac 142 on weigh-in. no harm done and it is still for the title. just think of it that 145 is a private agreement between coto and pac and we would all enjoy the fight.

we don't know, but adding his WBO belt on the line might have increased his share of the purse split.

it doesn't increase anything when the WBO takes 3 percent of your winnings.

in the grand scheme of things, fighting pacquiao pays a lot more dividends than holding a strap unless its a ring magazine belt.
