yeh i think the only divisions with champs should be Wlad at Heavy Adameck and CW Pavlik at MW Pacquiao at LWW Marquez at LW Calderon at Jnr FlW I do think 1st fighting 3rd should crown champ. Also if Froch and Kessler both keep winning, and fight in 2nd round, winner is champ.
Agreed but Pavlik needs to do something soon:good. Darchinyan at Super Fly and Chris John at Feather as well?
hatton would still get ranked for the malignaggi win, and taylor for his lacy win. i don't really rate muriqi, so didn't think it was enough to put him that high. however, with what you and rob are saying i'd amend my rankings to... 1. Chad Dawson 2. Bernard Hopkins 3. Glen Johnson 4. Jean Pascal 5. Zsolt Erdie 6. Gabriel Campillo 7. Hugo Garay 8. Antonio Tarver 9. Jurgen Brahmer 10. Adrian Diaconu 11. Beibut Shumenov 12. Tavoris Cloud 13. Clinton Woods 14. Sylvio Branco 15. Roy Jones Junior
if a fighter beats someone thats seriously crap, they should move down the list. for example Adameck should be striped of his title for fighting bobby gunn and judah should get thrown out for fighting matthew hatton
i agree but only if the fighters below them are active against good opponents edit...or maybe they should be allowed the odd crap fight
What if someone deserves their ranking but has to fulfill a mando against someone ****? Surely they can't be dropped down for that?
In the rankings I have done that will be added later, Darchinyan is at Bantamweight ranked number 5. He moved up and lost to Adbenko. Don't think he plans to mvoe back. I think if a fighter goes to another weight and loses, they should loose there championship. for example, marquez would move to number 1 at lightweight if he lost to Mayweather... Chris John will be champ if he beats Juarez who i beleive i had ranked number 3. winner of that will be champ at feather. i am hearing Pavlik vs Williams for October.
I like the welterweight list generally. I like the champ being vacant, considering the Cotto/Mosley/Margarito merry-go-round. I would definitely have Collazo above Berto, the whole world knows he was ripped off there, and his loss to Hatton is debateable too. Collazo is pretty skilled and has been on the rough end his whole career whereas Berto has had things easy. I'm not sure about Senchenko being so high. Consider he was fighting Stuart Elwell not long ago, yes that guy Brook punked easily. The Marine. His best win is similarly protected Ukranian Nuzhnenko, whereas a guy like Aydin has beat Bonsu who was bordering on world rated after beating Baldomir. Mayweather trained Ouali is also decent compared to most of the guys Senchenko feasted on.
mandatory is fair enough, trying to gain a higher ABC ranking by fighting someone also ranked is fair enough to. fighting someone ranked 15th in your organisation because there bull **** rules allows you to is not on. Personally i think Adameck should go back to number 1 for fighting Bobby Gunn, lets get some agreement behind this.
Welterweight is starting to look surprisingly bare compared to a year or so ago. The bottom half of the top 10 is quite average.
if someone deserves their ranking they'll have to have been active against decent opponents, so one crap opponent shouldn't make a difference. e.g. adamek shouldn't lose his ranking for facing blobby gunn unless the fighter ranked below him has beaten someone considerably better in that time.
:thinkHe has to make the decision in the next few days I think to keep his IBF strap- obviously the WBA have sanctioned and interim title but stupidly, the WBC have as wellatsch. I think Shaw will push for a rematch. Anyway, let's get back to the rankings- TFFP and Ishy, have a look at the last two pages and my 168 and rooq's 175 rankings and see what you think.
I have read that Vic plans to move back to 115. Also, Berto could fight Aydin in a Turkish football stadium http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=4355126&name=rafael_dan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nXCtsxzXBKg
