If this fight is made, I hope that Williams gets more than 2 mil because he is facing a bigger man in Pav. Arum is notorious for under paying opponents which is why their first fight didn't come off. Goosen pulled his man from the table when he realized that this fight could generate something. Al Haymon will look out for Williams, so I don't expect this fight to be made.

And I think without his height advantage he gets drawn into one. Paul won't settle for not landing punches. Not his style. We may see. I still wouldn't be surprised if Goosen doesn't find a way out yet. Like holding onto his demand for 50/50 for Kelly's belt.

i dont understand how you can get drawn into something that will be totally detrimental to you... especially when pw is faster than pavlik on his feet and with his hands... hell be fighting & running around all ngiht

A kid who had JT slumped over in the corner asking if he had just been knocked out. A kid who knocked out guys who not only were never knocked out, but never on the canvas. A kid who had the greatest MW ever tell him, he could be the middleweight champ for a long time and even though he wasn't hit flush, said he was able to taste his power, when he didn't have to. Kelly brought out a renewed Hopkins. It was the first time he wore the executioners mask in ages.
Point being... Wait and see. Kelly's next opponent WILL get decapitated. PW had his opportunity last year and management blew it. Who knows, maybe we'll get to see it anyway.

THAT is one of the beauties of the sport. The old "Fight or Flight" instinct. You get hit, do you want to fight back or run away. Sometimes 'brains' desert you and you revert to instinct. I see these two getting into a fight. :yep

May not make your event today. Phone rang at 6:55 after a late night. Couldn't get back to sleep. I may try and get a nap in and make Jacks. Been groggy all day.... I hate that when I'm not drinking, but it saves money I guess. :D

You make it sound like Kelly can't alter the game plan even a little? :patsch

You tell that ***** PAv that he is seen as a ***** now. Arthur Abraham scared ths shite out of Pav, and the only meaningful fight at MW was never made. Pav is not a champion because JT was never champion because JT never beat Hop...Dibella did, and Dibella and HBO's side door meeting and investment in JT was a disaster in the making.

not too something as drastic as making paul williams sit there and trade with him as if he is on his last stand..

that is LITERALLY asking to get knocked the **** out... i mean if you were talking about something as simple as using a certain punch or not moving a certain way..... but your talking about doing the most STUPID possible thing you can do against kelly pavlik

Kelly's health has been documented for that night. Believe what you want but blinders don't help much with future predictions. I think the fight would have been more competitive. If people want to judge Kelly's future performance on that one night it is their prerogative.
