I think he beats Dawson and loses to Johnson......Glenns style now is more kill or be killed and Dawson might get seriously frustrated with Hopkins tactics

    havent seen much of johnson
I think he could very well put it on dawson, BUT its like whenever I hear of hop talking about a fight now, a part of me is worried that its gonna be ali-holmes or marciano-louis all over again

I disagree. Hopkins has a good shot at beating Dawson

how? Hopkins is too slow to deal with the speed that Dawson has. Dawson is stronger, faster, and more technically sound than JT, JT's activity is what beat Hopkins 5 years ago, I doubt it is going to change now.

No, he's expecting Dawson to win & therefore is up for the challenge of giving another guy his first defeat!

If Hopkins were to face & defeat Dawson, there would not be a more perfect ending to what has already been a marvelous career!

    Let's go B-Hop! :bbb

He will deal with Dawson's speed by smothering him. I don't know about Dawson being stronger and faster than JT in a p4p sense. JT was a really strong and fast MW. Also Hopkins seems more comfortable today at LHW than he was against JT at MW. Also Hopkins has an easier time against southpaws than orthodox fighters because the right hand is his money punch.

I guess that speed is a very unfair argument brought up to this question. Looking at the Dawson-Tarver/Dawson-Adamek and Hopkins-Tarver/Hopkins-Pavlik affairs, you can very well say that they are fit and able to deal with big/slower men. The real question is the difference in commitment to fight... Dawson is sharp and sound but he doesn't punch back as much, he really has to be first and runs into risks of being countered while he's taking the initiative. Dawson can't really hurt Hopkins and he can always get dropped like he was in the 10th against Adamek. Then, I don't believe he would have the confidence to run all those numbers on Bernard.

That's the same thing people said when Hopkins said he will fight Johnson/Tarver II winner, they thought he's hoping Johnson wins so he takes an easy fight and there is no way in hell he will fight Tarver. You know what happened after that.

Dawson isn't very active and tends to wait a lot. It was activity all the way from Taylor and Calzaghe that bothered Hopkins and saw him confused, Dawson isn't active all the way so Hopkins has a good chance here.

Is this official? I saw the interview but is it official?
If so Dawson beats both Johnson in the rematch and Hopkins.

Dawson does not fight hard for every minute of every round.

    Hopkins will beat his ass.

dawson fights in spurts so i think b-hop would have a shot
having been wrong pretty much everytime i've bet on or against b-hop (i bet on him against taylor both times and against calzaghe, and then against him when he fought pavlik... the only time i've gotten it right was against tarver and the wright was a push) i'm not gonna say anything about this one, but it's not clear to me that there is an obvious winner
