Well that guy does not know boxing if he thinks this fight was a draw. Mickey Vann can not score a fight, he always seems to favour ineffective aggression.

Whitakers accuracy that night was jaw dropping.

yup but then you get people say pea landed pitty pat punches :-( well
    1) he landed a ****ing LOT of those pitty pat punches 2) they were put together in sharp, brilliant combinations 3) i'd rather not get hit at all by chavez than take pitty pat punches from sweet pea. i don't care if he didn't knock chavez out; NO one was knocking chavez out then. he scored at will, controlled the ring and completely neutralized jcc's offense

Pitter patter punches? Did you see the swelling on Chavez's face? He was deadly accurate and the accumilation took its toll. Chavez did well to hear the final bell the guy was ****ing EXHAUSTED and getting busted up real bad. Had that been 15 rounds whitaker would have stopped him by tko im sure of it. Whitaker has the most unsual rhythm and timing, if you watch the fight he constantly circles to his right but at times looks square on then suddenly he's takes a pause followed by bout 3 steps and he's at an angle!! Unreal. This man is shockingly good. Downloaded his whole career and watching as we speak!!!

Chavez won no more than 3 rounds in that fight. Pea won it by wide UD but was robbed.

I've never been able to find more than 4 rounds for Chavez, even when the fight first came out and I was growing up a Chavez fan. And you only get 4 rounds by sliding one or two close ones Julio's way.

This comes up ever couple months.

Had it 6-6 the first 3 times. I could go with 7-5 Sweet Pea, but I simply could never find the 10-2 or 9-3 bull**** scores the Whitaker nuthuggers dance to all the time.

Man that fight wasnt even close to being a draw...And its not Pea nuthuggers its most non-Mexican fans that thought that Pea won a clear and fairly lopsided dec. There is NO WAY IN HELL that Chavez won 4 rounds let alone 5 or 6. That was a Don King judged fight all the way and Chavez was a Don King fighter:yep:good

    I had Whitaker winning 118-110. A masterclass.
