Read in the paper today that hatton wants marquez if he beats mayweather. Anyone know if there is any truth to this?
I expect there's truth in this but Hatton would have to prove he deserves this fight now. His stock is very low just now.
If JMM does win- not an unrealistic possibility as it's being made out- then there are much bigger fights out there for him. Mainly Pacman part III, can you imagine it in the Aztec stadium? And obviously Mosley. This content is protected

Hatton don't deserve a fight with Marquez if he beats Mayweather. Marquez would rather face Pacquiao instead I'm sure anyway. The biggest fight Hatton deserves right now is a fight with Amir Khan.
Its 100% definately true. I saw an interview with some American bloke who used to promote Hatton and he said that he hasn't seen Hatton for 3 years but that he thinks Hatton might like to fight Marquez. Personally I think its a ****ing outrage!!
I didn't say he was, what I meant was a thread like this is basically an open invite for the usual suspects to jump in and bore us all rigid with the "who does he think he is wanting a fight with Marquez" crap!

Most people will probably agree it's a silly fight to aim for but we won't go mad over it like in the general. Post this in the general and see what happens!:good
Imagine if Marquez beats Mayweather then fights Hatton. Before the fight: "I'm fighting for the pound for pound title. Not many people can say they fought for the P4P title three times. The first two times Ricky Hatton rushed in a bit and didn't stick to the tactics but Ricky Hatton will win this time. I'm gonna do it for me fans. Take out a high interest loan and put it on Ricky Hatton because I won't let you down again." After being KOed: "I lost me head a bit in there. Ricky Hatton rushed in and didn't stick to the game plan. The training camp wasn't very good and I was very ill before the fight and to be honest I should have pulled out but that's Ricky Hatton for ya - I did it for me fans."
