    It is impossible.

    - Valuev will fight Haye and did not want Klit in the past.

    - Maskaev will fight Arreola in October

-povetkin. Atlas does not want the fight right now, he wants a tune up.

    - kevin johnson : scheduled to fight

    That leaves:

Holyfield: very unlikely because of his age and the Klits said they do not want the fight
Brewster: unlikely as he got KOD by Wlad
Ruiz: possible but I doubt HBO wants the fight as it is Ruiz is not popular
Austin: unlikely as Wlad beat him up.
Toney: possible, as he has never fought the Klits but will HBO apptove it?
    Who else?

I agree with you. But Arreola should get a pass. I mean, he really needs a couple of more fights before taking on Vitali. He is probably ready now, his best opponent so far was McCline.

Lets not drag the sport down any farther than it has been already by the dud the WBC has for a champion. Bringing a punch drunk steroid cheat who by everyone that was watching lost his last fight would be disasterous for the sport. The WBC is in a bind of it's own making. By allowing Vtialli to hold their belt for hostage on two separate occasions and having to settle a lawsuit they were shure to loose agaisnt one of their champions Maskaev. Who they basically highjacked to Mexico in a very shady deal with the Peter people and set up a fight under what they admit very one sided conditions.

Now would be they so stupid as to bring the most scandlous cheat in the last 50 years. Most likely yes they are constiantly stupid. Clearly their problem is their champion. Unlike most champions he cannot seem to find anyone that wants his belt. Could it be he is too greedy and no one wants to be lowballed for the next 2 or 3 fights in their careers? Or does he still hold a grudge against Maskaev who treatly him so brutally in their matchup a very long time ago? IMO it is a little of both but one thing is certian Vitali believes he makes the rules and the WBC is lucky to have him.

With the super middleweight event booked what ever he does will not be enough to compete with that. It is time for the WBC to grab a brain and make the contenders fight for a spot. Gomez got his shot with a win over McCall. That is just dumb. As dumb as Arreola getting his with a win over Mcline. But not as stupid as letting the twice caught cheat Toney compete for their belt. Chambers has done the most after he lost. No one can argue has not come up the hard way. In this case it is time for the org to take the matchmaking out of this promoters hands. Vitalli Klitchko has canceled more fights than he has made while he was a champion.

Shannon Briggs say both Klitchko's are runners. Vitalli could have had a fight with him anytime in the past 4 years. Briggs won his belt in the ring and really wanted a fight with either brother. Fact is Vitalli is not fighting anybody has never fought the top guys. Only Lewis and he got stopped. Sanders almost took him out but was too old to compete for more that one round at that point. Vitalli has beat no one. He won't even fight Ruiz. He is a real dud for a champion and now he says no one will fight him.:lol::lol:

I agree. No way Arreola is ready for Vitali, my point was about being honest. There is nothing wrong with not being ready to fight Vitali, but the "I can get in shape" (in 3 1/2 months) was a stupid excuse for team Arreola to make

James Toney is an ATG and it is certainly not fair to reduce his over all accomplishments to the stereoid scandal.

Of course the heavyweight division is very poor. Agreed. But we have to deal with the situation like it is. Crying about it won't help. One question:With Arreola and Chambers probably unavailable who else is there besides Toney?

You are right there, that really is a poor excuse. If he is ready for MAskaev in October, he is also ready for Vitali then. They just want to sell it without losing face. The reality is, Arreola is too green, Vitali would probably KO him in the second half of the fight.

I do not want to see Vitali fight Toney. It would be a black eye for the sport. He will get hurt and hurt badly.

unfortunately the heavyweight division just sucks ass.

but anyone between Chambers, Arreola, the Johnson-Solis winner, Haye, Povetkin, Boystov, or Maskev would be better than Toney

Maskaev would be happy to cancel his fight with Arreola to get a shot a Vitali; and, by taking this fight away from Arreola, it would open up a fight between CA-VK down the line. Win-win for VK, though the Maskaev fight wouldn't gross too much.

This seems to be absurd. Vitali went to court no to face Maskaev and rightly so.
