It's understandable why Witter would tun down a Khan fight at such short notice. I hope Khan does fight Witter..something Hatton was unable to do !
He looks pinched which with him is not a good sign...I don't think he sounded bitter at all, just taking the **** out of Khan
That interveiw was done straight after a sparing session that would be the reason he looked ****ed. Hope he can pull out a big win so we get Kahn-Witter.It's a fight i'd like to see even though it would prob be ugly fight to watch.
Witter is huge at 10st... he wouldn't have done the weight short notice. Personally I think Khan can beat him. Liked Witter for years but he's had his day. I think win or lose Vs Alexander he's Khans next opponent.
Looking forward to see if this happens. Hopefully he beats Devon Alexander and when the fight comes im looking forward to seeing Khan have both the WBC and WBA lightwelterweight title
:good A few times, top bloke, he's just a bit straight forward which can grate with some people, especially southern shandy swillers and precious Hatton huggers who get exceptionally defensive for some reason everytime his name is mentioned
I'm sure he is if you meet him face to face. He just comes across as a little bitter and can be a hypocrite at times. Minor flaws though I'm sure he's a decent sort at heart. Maybe does have an inflated opinion of himself as well, but so what you need to have to step into the ring in the first place!
I can understand why Witter didn't take the fight; it'll be bigger if he can manage to get by Alexander and make it a unification fight with Khan, anyways.
I think Witter has a good chance against Khan. Not sure Khan could deal with ounches coming from weird angles. He'd also struggle to find a gameplan to nullify Witter. And Witter can punch. However, if Witter has the same kind of night that he had against Bradley he'ss be retired before the nights over.
someone with Khans attributes (brillient jab, straight/combination punches, speed and footwork) should not have problems with witters wide punches and style, for me its just whether khan would fight to his strengths and take advantage of witters deficiencies of which there are many, witter has a lot of technical flaws to beat khan plus he's lethargic, i see khan winning this unless he walked into something
even worse :tong the point being no way he beats khan over the distance it wouldn't be easy for Khan, however witter can be countered effectively, you can draw his lead, his style is made for a "boxer" and he ain't no naz (punching like a mule to bail him out) he does have decent power but other then that he does nothing that khan if he fights smart with some defensive instincts will struggle with, this would be khans fight to lose what beats Khan is two things, technicians especailly on the inside like nate campbell or effective aggresiveness meaning someone with smart aggression, witter has neither and i suspect the khan camp (roach) feel the same seeing as they wanted the fight with no strap on the line btw tough fight for witter coming up against Alexander
