I assume Chambers is still a possibility for Wlad in Dec?

I would not be shocked if Vitali ends up fighting Maskaev. The problem is US TV would not be interested in that fight.

That's some of the dumbest hating I have ever read.

Briggs????????? Have you watched his last fights? Everybody is a runner compared to Briggs, the guy can barely walk. :yep

Vitali wasn't anywhere near getting KO'd by Sanders, what fight were you wacthing? He lost his balance once in the firsz round, then administered a brutal beating. Vitali doesn't have against ATG's, alright, but he dominated decent fighters throughout his career, many of whom would beat Briggs. What reason was there for a fight between Briggs and either Klitschko? He would have been a punching bag, nothing else.

Toney should have saved his money. No one is trying to take anything away from him but I am not buying into a pension fund for shot fighters. He is degrading his own accomplishments quite well enough by himself he don't need anyone to help him along. But still he cannot expect the boxing public to pay for his terrible preformances, even when he wins he looses by cheating. No he don't get a shot if I have anyting to do with it but I don't so expect him to get his shot at the WBC they are good at shooting themselvs in the foot.

If Travis Walker can drop Arreola as early as he did, Vitali would thoroughly embarrass him, and quick.

    Arreola knows this.:good

I think it'll be Ruiz, Toney, or possibly Briggs. It can't be an edge of your seat kind of competitive fight, cause there is noone avialable who is even remotely competitive, (nor is there anyone even OUT there who is competitive with Vitali), so we'll end up seeing a watch the big man take this poor schlub out kind of fight, while he waits for, well, David Haye, yet again.

I would bet Vitali will retire within 18 months TOPS because a) he's getting old b) there are no fights left for him. What sense does it make beating guys senseless that barely stand a chance? He already did what he have to do.

Who's he gonna fight? Beat up old men like Briggs, Maskaev, Ruiz, Holyfield, Toney? Pullezze, spare me.

Arreola at least would be interesting and entertaining for a couple rounds, Kingpin too. At least these guys are young and on an upward trajectory for the time being, not a downward sloping one.

YES. It looks like that will be the fight as Atlas wants more time for Povetkin, so they will talk to the IBF for an extension. Looks like Chambers is the front runner.:bbb

Is Arreola backing out of the offer?

If Arreola doesn't want to get KO'd in a title fight, perhaps James Toney, or John Ruiz will take the pay day.

HBO replayed A 15 minute special of Arreola vs Wlaker. I agree, Arreola is dog meat in 3 rounds vs. Vitali.

well thats what they are talking about. I think Chambers is WAY over matched. but, Chambers is WBO mand. we have to fight him If not now, in 2010

Chambers was a sparing partner for the brock fight. Wlad destroyed him post to post. Sent chambers home after 1 week. Now that was 3 1/2 years ago, but I see it happening the same:good
