    How do you know this is true?

    The WBO said the title will be on the line.... and if Cotto beleive's in himself then why not defend your title against such a great fighter like Pacquiao.... it should be an honour for Cotto to do such a thing, that's the way I would see it anyway.

    Its smart business by Cotto and Arum.

    They realize that there's a good chance Cotto will lose. These days if a pound 4 pound fighter loses, especially if he gets knocked out.. he kinda fades out of the mega-fight picture, at least 4 a while.

    So if Miguel loses, he still have a belt and thus he would still have relevance, assuming he is beaten and badly like everyone thinks.

    Cotto has to pay the fee and if he chooses not to it's because he doesn't want the title on the line not because he cant afford it.

    no tittle, no problem. it doesn't diminish pac or cotto's victory. but i doubt that it would not be for the WBO welterweight belt come November. someone has to pay the fees for this one.

    You can't really say that for sure, Cotto has a huge PR following. Plus you can be sure that Arum offered big $$ to make sure that the fight stays in-house.

    Anyway, Mosley presented a lose lose situation for Pac. If Pac chose to fight Mosley @140, Pac would be seriously criticized for fighting a drained Mosley. If he doesn't, he's ducking mosley. He chose the lesser of the two evils I think.

    I think I said this before .. but if this fight wasn't slated to be at a catchweight of 145

    Cotto would _____ to pay the WBO sanctioning fee, or risk being stripped.
