His fight with Frankie Santos in 2003 is on ESPN Classic right now.

What ever happened to him? Did he officially retire after the Forbes fight? Or is he just on pace for another three-year layoff (making him due back in the ring sometime about fifteen months from now)?

The kid had some talent, seems pretty stupid that he's only got 21 fights.

 @ the commentator mulling over a possible match-up with Cotto "another decent looking prospect".

I believe he's retired currently. I thought he won the fight against Forbes honestly.

As tempting as it is to call it cosmic justice for the Hopkins fiasco, I think in their heart of hearts everybody (probably even 2lb) acknowledges that yes, it was a razor thin fight (not 93-97).

As for whether it was a robbery...that's a difficult call.

So he actually made a statement to that effect? Was it the decision specifically? Personal ****? Waste. :verysad

I remember when him and Cotto were being matched up for a future megafight akin to the great fights that have taken place between Mexican and PR fighters.

Its too bad that he couldn't fulfill his potential. The guy looked like the real deal for a bit.

I believe he got dropped from GBP and sort of slinked off into the sunset.

I do think he was a little bit of a return favor for when Forbes got really robbed against Hopkins. The decision was close, could've gone either way but one guy alrready had one strike against him. Sides 2 lbs was due.

**** happens. Watching the Santos fight unfold before my eyes, even knowing what I know about his dim future, Bojado looks like the promise of something special.

Maybe Oscar pulls whatever strings he has to, to sabotage their chances of upstaging him as "the next Oscar". :think He strikes me as the jealous type.

    Bright, well-spoken kid, too.

Perhaps Panchito just wanted to pursue opportunities other than taking further punishment trying to rebuild from his setbacks at 18-3. :conf

Watch his fight against Emanuel Clottey and you see why he was so hyped. Great skill, but never put it together. I remember when Juan Carlos Rubio, and unheralded, skinny journeyman completely outworked a bloated, young Bojado. That apparently wasn't enoug of a wake-up call.
