Yeah. That punk who posted a links to banned sites is gone for good. Let this be a warning to all who try to violate these rules. We take this very, very seriously!:fire
Just out of curiousity why did this **** all of a sudden become so serious? It used to be fine when I joined.......was the forum contacted about it?
Talked to someone by phone who was there with a fighter. JC Chavez Jr. pulled out late with an injury. Someone else had visa problems and couldn't get to Mexico. There was another fight cancelled for some reason. Due to all this (mostly JCC not fighting), they moved it to a smaller arena that was 5-hour drive away from the original site and packed everyone up in buses and took them around lunchtime. The lack of crowd is mostly because this arena wasn't even supposed to have a boxing show, no advertising, etc. I think everyone there was let in free.
That was just a bad stylistic match-up for Antillon. They probably based the choice of Acosta on his 8 losses and 11 KO out of 30+ fights. Beatable, and not really a heavy puncher, they thought. They did not realize he was a slickster ala Guzman. And he probably has a decent punch.:yep Supposedly a fight where he would showcase his punching prowess, instead it became the coming out party for Acosta. For Antillon, it only showed his limitation. Not quick enough, and no jab to speak of. I am sure he will come back, though.
I have to check that. Saw something 30-8.. or like that in the pre-fight introduction. Never checked the Boxrec. My bad, if ever.atsch Edited: You're right man. It was a wrong record shown there, and where I based my post.
There's that impeccable production value we've come to expect from Latin Fury...your $39.99 at work. And WASP McGillicuddy, the not even remotely Latino play by play guy? That was a nice touch.
They actually did. This is the record I saw and they showed there. WTF? This content is protected + This content is protected + This content is protected = 30 rounds boxed 210 : KO% 20
