    What's your problem with it?

You can hind behind the fact that they will never actually fight and make brash statements like this in an attempt to stain the immortal name of Calzaghe.

Ali was 6ft 3 just like Mario Veit...... Look what happened there, Calzaghe got all crazy on his ass and KO'd him in the opening round.

What actual EVIDENCE do you have that he WOULDN'T do the same to this bum Ali you keep banging on about?

Writing with your caps lock on makes it harder to take you seriously. Calzaghe is no fraud, he beat who there was to beat, what more do you want? Did RJJ (its always RJJ fanatics who start these threads) fight Benn, Eubanks or McCellan? They were in their prime at the same time. Hopkins is currently top 3-5 P4P and so on. Calling Calzaghe a fraud is a stupid as saying he is the best of time.

The one piece of nonsense that has to be done with is the "RJJ knocked Calzaghe down crap..." Roy got lucky and hit Calzaghe with his f*&king forearm. That's it.

What does it matter? To some it was an illegal blow, to others it's hard indesputable proof that it was RJJ circa 2001 coming from the past for us to glimpse how he would have destroyed Calzaghe in his prime.

It's a bit like the fact that Hopkins was yeeeeeeeeeeears past his best when he fought Joe. Despite generally being top 10 in most people current p4p over a year after they fought.

Let's get something else out there! RJJ in his prime was a great, great fighter but doesn't mean he would have beaten Calzaghe then either. For his size, Calzaghe has the highest workrate of any boxer I have ever seen, his 80-100 punches a round makes him almost impossible to beat on points, (and so it should, any fighter who works that hard and throws that many should be rewarded), in addition Calzaghe doesn't suffer from cuts, so he doesn't get stopped that way either. That means that to beat Calzaghe you have to knock him out. RJJ could hit but his many strengths were speed, althelticism and jab, he was not a big banger. Now Calzaghe is not hard to hit with a jab for any boxer because he stands right in front of you in the combat zone, so you don't need a great jab. Calzaghe cuts down the space and out punches' you whilst having a great chin. This takes away RJJ's great qualities. In my opinion the kind of fighter most likely to beat Calzaghe is Benn. He would have stood in Front of Calzaghe and gone to war and maybe knocked him out. This is and never was RJJ's style, great fighter though he was.

  7. AND ALL OF YOU BIAS UK FANS HAVE SOMETHING 2 SAY,SPEAK YOUR MIND!![/quote]

dont be jumpin the gun thinkin that everybody from england is bias, your bias towards hopkins because he is american, like a mexican is bias towards juan manuel marquez because he is mexican. the mirfieldmexican doesn't agree what so ever with the statement that calzaghe would of beat ali.THATS CRAZY TALK. but a tell you what! calzaghe did beat hopkins on workrate and punches landed, so ****ing what if hopkins dropped him in the first, calzaghe rallied and took control of the fight if hopkins wasnt scared of what calzaghe could do he would of pressured calzaghe more. Hopkins is a spoiler when things are not goin his way and he spat his ****ing dummy out midway thru the calzaghe fite. if he wasn't so busy tryin to get calzaghe D'Q towards the end of the fight, and he threw punches he might of got the decision.
ROY JONES,BERNARD HOPKINS BOTH HAD THE OPPURTUNITY TO FACE JOE YEARS AGO, JONES MOVED UP THE WEIGHT CLASSES WHICH RULED HIM OUT, AND HOPKINS ACCEPTED £3 MILLION POUNDS TO FACE CALZAGHE, BUT THE VERY NEXT DAY DOUBLED HIS DEMANDS TO £6 MILLION BEACAUSE HE SAW THAT JOE WAS SOMETHING SPECIAL.
Hopkins took seven years to unify the middleweight division when he fought kieth holmes and then he fought a blown up welterweight in tito to unify another title then spent the next 3 years fightin nobody of great prestige. and then he faced de la hoya who is never a middleweight and shouldn't of even been a middleweight champion, cos felix sturm beat dlh comprehensivly. another case of AMERICAN BIAS, dlh vs hopkins was already agreed before dlh even fought sturm.WHICH IS WRONG.(NO WONDER STURM STAYS IN GERMANY NOWDAYS!) i personally dont like hopkins his attitude stinks and he doesn't set a good example for youngsters but a dont let that cloud my judgement when i'm rating him as a fighter. h.o.f. YES. A.T.G. NO! NO! NO!. AV LOST THE POINT AM MAKIN NOW COS AM SMOKING SUM OF THAT FUNKY GREEN THAT KEEPS THE EYES SLANTED BUT DONT BE SAYIN THAT ALL OF ENGLAND IS BIAS AND DELUSIONAL WHEN IT COMES TO CALZAGHE. H.OF. YES A.T.G. NO NO NO.

You're either one of the worst posters on ESB. Or a trolling comedy alias.

Either way, I find it quite boring.
