Just watched McAuley-Bassa I. Cracking fight and Henry Carpenter came out with some gems in the commentary. "If that's not a knockdown then I'm a Dutchman" "And he's got 'im, he's got 'im". Also watched Ulises Solis-Brian Viloria and Nonito Donaire-Raul Martinez. Donaire is a class act, I am now a fan.
I reminded myself of some Earlier Pac yesterday. Pacquaio-Hussein: Hadn't actually seen this fight before and it was a good one....Hussein is one dirty ****er in the ring, he gave Pac hell. Pacquao-Ledwaba: Complete domination of a very good solid champ, great performance by Pac.......... And now that Superbantamweight is a favourite against Cotto in his next fight :nut
Losfer if you watch Duran watch Leonard 1 Palomino Moore Barkley Kobayashi there amazing performances i suggest you watch some Monzon though
I was toying with Barkley as well:good:yep. Dzinziruk's jab was subject of a good discussion the other day, Ish, as well:good.
Marquez-Diaz. It'll take something special to top this for FOTY. Followed a similar pattern to Casa-JMM. Although I enjoy his style, Diaz doesn't really impress me all that much. It was easy to get caught up in the work he was doing, because the crowd were reacting to every punch, and many weren't landing. His workrate and punch output gave Marquez problems from 1-4, but Diaz is feather fisteted and Marquez was landing the cleaner, harder and more accurate punches throughout. Even when it looked like he was being battered early on. To me, Diaz has a good variety of punches, but he's pretty wild in the way he throws them, a skilled counter-puncher with good feet will just pick him off (if they can endure the early pressure and adjust tactically like JMM did). Diaz-Malignaggi should be a good fight.
Last night watched a marathon. Eubank v Watson Katsidis v Amongost Gonzalez v (Thai boxer) can't remeber his name 1995 FOTY De La Hoya v Mayorga Basillo v Saxton 1956 FOTY
