    Forrest was good friends w/Gatti:

Former two-time world champion Vernon Forrest, a close friend and a team member of Gatti at his promoter Main Events had this to say.
"Rest in Peace to my friend "Arturo 'Thunder' Gatti. He was a good friend and great boxer and at one time in our careers we both shared management, trainers, and promotional company. We even sparred once and let me tell you he was one tough guy."

    Very Tragic for boxing.

But why was he chasing the carjackers with his gun?

Man, I feel sorry for some Americans who think that their primitve 2nd Amendment actually makes them safer.

R.I.P, Vernon was a true gentleman and a great fighter. I remember when he dethroned, the Undefeated Welterweight King, Shane Mosley back in the day. I think it was the 2nd round Forrest nearly decapitated Mosley with a beautiful uppercut. He had a very good career, that could have been great had he not had all those shoulder injuries.

Instead of farting out the rip phrase like a robot, why not use a moment like this to reflect on needless gun violence and realize that gun ownership ought to be a privilidge and not a right for every idiot who comes along?
