I remeber at the boxing before - I was walking near ringside and I was with FAT JOE and I walked in the way of this black guy dressed in a tux and FAT JOE said "Its your mate Bernie !!!!" Cos it looked just like him I went to say hello but then realised it was actually Duke McKenzie !
No a guy I use to work with Little black guy - he was Jamican - but he worked with me in a Car Plant when I was about 19 / 20 years old He was in his 30's and he was the ****ing spitting image of Duke McKenzie My other mate was in a top class resturant eating lobster on the phone to business clients in New York
Speaking of my mate - I aint seen him in a while But I seen his missus in Swansea Centre the other day She gave me a wave I was in my car - She was in HIS car but the number is a personailsed number plate of HER name
Duke Mckenezie was falling asleep in the Sky studio before during a late night fight in America :rofl
I've always thought of McKenzie as a good bloke, good boxer...and a bloody hilarious commentator. "He's gone, Jim!"
Not sure mate, I was just about to ask who Dukes brother was, I cant remember his name! Duke himself though, good boxer, very good jab if I remember rightly, nice man as well, a gent.
Did anyone else sense that Duke is ashamed of his brother's adopted daughter (the lesbian from Big Brother that fought on ITV4 the other week)? After saying he didn't agree with women's boxing he then refused to say a word until the end of the round - after I assume someone told him to do his job. He was then asked something along the lines of whether it was a proud moment for him to see a McKenzie in the ring, unfortunately despite rewinding it a number of times I couldn't make out his response accept that from the tone of it, he wasn't proud at all. Did anyone else witness this strange moment in ITV Sport history?
