Before I watched the fight I didn't really hear too much about it other then many people thought George won.

I was expecting to see a close fight which could swing either way..........

But DAMN!! That was a robbery. George whooped his ass.

Is their anyone who agrees with the judges?????

    8-4 Foreman.

But I think Briggs showed good spirit in there. He kept throwing, and seemed to hurt George in the 10th (I think) with those body shots.

Still, George should've got the nod. His jab particularly was a problem for Briggs.

But I think the boxing commission wanted to finally finish the 'Foreman Experiment', with him still technically the Linear Champion despite not fighting anyone seen as a legit top guy since 1994.

Foreman also had the luck with a decision or two in his comeback anyway, so instant karma perhaps...

That still shouldn't give the commission the right to robbed Foreman. Didn't foreman said even if he wins he would retired? So if he would got the nod over Briggs in which he should got the nod, it be a great high note for Foreman to retired. It was a disgrace that Briggs won that fight.

Naw Foreman didn't figure on retiring, it just happened. He said he kept waiting for the next fight to get scheduled and was busy being a commentator and time just slipped by... a few months went by and then it was years. He's one of my fav commentators, was always knowledgeble and very understandable. Lewis would always get excited as a commentator and become ununderstandable.

I disagree about you saying Foreman was very knowledgeable as a commentator cause most his commentating were terrible just terrible. For god sake man Foreman thought Tito was winning the fight until he realize Hopkins was winning the fight in the 10th round. The only thing Foreman can do as a commentator is his jokes thats about it. Roy Jones was 40 times better as a commentator then Foreman.

It was a scandal... Briggs was presented with some kind of belt afterwards, his name was already on it, so the consensus was, if briggs is still standing after the final bell..He wins...

However much I love george, he was lucky against steward and schultz...But again probably robbed against morrison.

He won this fight clear, though.

The Foreman-Schulz fight was damn close.

But Foreman-Briggs was a clear Foreman win.

I remember scoring it 116-112 for Foreman, but Foreman got lucky in the Shultz fight. I remember scoring that one 116-115 for Shultz. I had Foreman beating Stewart on points but had it 5-4-1 for Stewart on rounds. Foreman scored 2 knockdowns in the second round that put him over the top in that one. At least on my scorecard.

I agree he got robbed on the Briggs fight and got a gift vs Schultz... But to claim he was robbed vs Morrison? That fight wasn't even close. Morrison figured out Foreman and kept moving laterally. There was no controversy, there were some rounds where Foreman landed only 3-4 punches. It like saying that Chageav vs Wlad was a close fight...
