i think he would be a revelation and generate some great interest in the sport. course he would get ko'd a few times but he would be good enough to win a few versions of the title a fight with the klitchko's wouild be huge and great fights. i see vitali beating him everytime but i reckon he could take wlad
No he wouldnt, Morrison has the power to take Wlad but he doesnt have the chin, speed, boxing skill, range to get off first or survive against Wladdy. BTW Wlad is the better Klitboy
i think morrison wlad would of been a great fight compared to wlads last public sparring session ,morrison would of had a punchers chance in fact i think he would of stood a better chance of beating wlad than vitali .wlad may be the better boxer out of the two klits but against morrison you may need the better chin of vitali
tommy morrison used steroids apparently. I don't understand why he has never been tested of roid dispite huge suspect.
Definitely have a chance at being a belt holder, the chin and stamina issues would always be a worry though and I think they'd let him down against the Klitschkos. He'd also be one of the most popular heavyweights around for the same reasons as the 90s - the 'comes to fight' crowd pleasing style. We could do with a Tommy Morrison or two in the division today. If Arreola wasn't so overweight he could've fit the bill.
Morrison was an ok fighter. I think a lot of people overate him on this board. Wlad would absoutely destroy Morrison. You cant beat a guy like Wlad with one punch. Morrison would have the preverbial punchers chance, but I dont see him getting close enough to wlad to land it.
This is how I see it. If Morrison were in his prime years today, I could see him winning some and losing some. Morrison wasn't equipped to beat either Klitschko. I can see Morrsion winning the WBA crown at one point, then losing it via TKO loss. I think his best value today would be entertainment. Morrison was never in a dull fight.
Morrison would need a huge mistake from Wlad to beat him. The current version of Wlad doesn't make mistakes. Wlad reminds me of Mats Wilander in Tennis around 1988. He wasn't spectacular, but absolutely flawless and therefore very difficult to beat.
At his optimal best he might hold a #5 or #6 rating, but I don't see him beating very many of today's upper tier.
I'd say Morrison would have a CHANCE against Wlad. He vs Haye would be a very entertaining fight. He'd be superior to Chris Arreola. But would probably lose to Eddie Chambers :good
