    Beau Jack was a beast of a man, physically and in terms of his ability.

    I think Chavez would win the battle on the inside but would be worn down by Jack's hooks on the inside too.

    I don't think Chavez ever fought someone as strong as Jack. In his whole career. I think Julio is the better fighter in general though, and I see him winning a decision, where both men are tired by the end but Chavez has done the superior work.

    Yeah, Jack ain't being stopped for ****. It's like saying Marvin Hagler would stop Dick Tiger.

    You mean Hagler wouldn't stop Foster? I think you're missing Manssa's comparison mate.

    Beau Jack was a bull he was very strong and would give Chavez all he could handle. I think Chavez would outbox Beau for parts and when they battle close either could take the advantage. Chavez via close but clear decision like 7-5 or 8-4 due to being more versatile.

    No your missing the point of the barb. He was saying Jack wasn't getting knocked out, like Dick Tiger wasn't by Hagler. But Foster did indeed knock out Tiger, with one blow.

    So you're comparing Chavez to Foster in terms of one punch KO power? I think it's you who's missing the point. Foster was one of the hardest hitting (if not the hardest hitting) LHW's of all time, who held every conceivable physical advantage over the much smaller, older Tiger at a weight above his best. There's no comparison to be made between that matchup and this one.

    Yeah, at a higher weight. He was making a point about a fighter who is generally perceived as a fighter who would earn a stoppage through accumulation stopping someone who is well known for their durability.

    Yes, Foster stopped Tiger. Williams stopped Jack. Both big punchers (Foter harder IMO)

    So, your barb is fairly inconsequential. It's like someone saying 'Chad Dawson isn't stopping Dwight Qawi at LHW' and me saying 'what, like George Foreman did' clearly not, different discussion.

    Anyways, hope you don't think I'm hating, have ended up explaining myself :lol::good

    No,no,no. What he said was "Jack wasn't getting stopped for ****" Period. meaning by ANYONE! Then using Dick Tiger as an example of another indestructable fighter.
    I pointed out Tiger was indeed stopped. Y'now a quip loses it's amuzement when you have to explain it...

    He clearly means AT MW. And using Hagler as opposed to Julian Jackson because Hagler was, like Chavez, for the better part 'an accumulation fighter'. Now, personally I believe Hagler and Chavez are UNDERRATED punchers; regardless of their one-punch K.O ratio they were amongst the best finishers boxing has EVER seen.

    He didn't mean EVER. If he'd meant ever he probably wouldn't have picked someone who is known for being on the receiving end of a brutal stoppage. He would've said something like Malignaggi vs Chavez.

    Period:lol::good:deal

    'Y'now a quip loses it's amuzement when you have to explain it...' a quip loses it's amusement when it A)isn't funny B)doesn't make sense

    Your reading tooo much into this. Your focusing on the wrong part of it. It doesn't matter if it's Chavez or Foster or whomever.
    He was stating about Beau Jack's ability to take a punch & he couldn't be stopped. & used Dick Tiger as another example of a fighter who had a very tough chin. He could just as easily have said Jake LaMotta as an example.
