As exciting as Pac is too watch, when he retires it will be a bitter sweet feeling. Sweet because 90% of his fans will stop watching boxing, and bitter because he is undeniably a great fighter, unfortunate that his fans overrated him to the point where you always wanted to see him lose.

Funny things is that you laugh Rey and AJ being called next Pac and losing yet Pac lost a few times while he was a prospect but look at him now. :patsch Have some sense.

Hopefully, he lives up to the expectation. Boom Boom Bautista was said to be the next Pacquiao before but when a faced a world class opponent he froze and KOd in the first round.

Nah, I don't laugh about Boom Boom, losing. I just think it's hillarious how *******s jump ship everytime one of their fighters loses. Watch it happen to Donaire.

Why are you even comparing guys with 30 fights under their belt to a prospect with no amateur experience who's only fought 13 fights?

Any of them would be a stern test, although Marquez seems a bit overrated from what little I've seen of him.

What makes you think they jump ship? So you think only *******s do that? So tell me what majority people around the world think when THE NEXT BIG THING lost to Maidana? It could be anyone. But saying only *******s do that doesnt make sense.

Not saying only *******s do that, what I'm saying is that *******s overhype their opponents to hell, and once they have a bad fight they almost always turn their backs on them.

Ortiz could have lost to Maidan, even by KO, and he would have the support of Mexicans, but it's how he lost.

We dont turn our backs on fighters just because they lose, we are not the type of fans.

So where does it show that only *******s turn their backs when they lose. I have gone to many boxing forum and its no different than other fans. When you say WE are not that type of Fans, look like your talking about Race here. Your going over board their buddy. I aint a **** but when you talk about race, Thats a different story.

Like I said, *******s have shown consitently to turn their backs on their fighters when they loose.

*******s are going to go into a rude awakening once Pac starts slowing down and showing signs of being past prime.

Then some young up and comer is going to knock him out. It's a cycle that is very consistent.

The worse part for *******s is that you guys are extremely arrogant, andyour fall will be hard.

since you guys are such a pacswinging ***ots, unfortunately this generation's mexican greats within pacquiao's weight will always be overshadowed by a great filipino fighter like pacman and there's nothing you can do but cry and hate..:nut

Being branded the next anything is bad for young unproven prospect's it goes to their heads and their management almost always wind up moving them along to fast for their own good.
They usually wind up being side tracked by more experience fighter's.
That being said i don't think they will be anyone who can fill Pac's shoes anytime soon if ever.

Mayol and Banal are good prospects but obviously they need better managers and trainers. Banal mauled Concepcion in the first half of the fight but it was evident that Concepcion could take his best shots. A better coach would've guided him to a decision victory rather than try too hard for a KO. Banal has enough power (Concepcion was just too tough that night) and good boxing abilities but apparently has a soft body but it is understable because he still on his teens.

Strange, I'm from the Philippines and I never got the sense that these fighters were shunned when they lost. Case in point, when Viloria lost a couple of times before the Solis fight, a lot of fans here were frustrated that Vilora seemed really gun-shy. It didn't help his popularity naturally but a lot of the people here I talked to were hopeful that he could make a good comeback and were really happy when he did.

It's only natural that fans feel disappointed when a fighter they want to succeed sometimes fall short and these fans will obviously show their disappointed. But to say that they are utterly abandoned and shunned is just an exaggeration. Hell, if what you say is true then *******s should have abandoned Pac when he lost to Morales, but nope, everyone still showed their support for him.

To generalize the fans in such a way and insult them for it shows the kind of ignorance and hate you are pretending to expose. All fighters have dumb, loud and ignorant fans but there are always few of them. You seem to think that because a there a few ones here in the forum that all Pac fans are like that.
