Well if that is the case Williams should be getting more than 1.5 million.

On top of the 3.75 from HBO there is still ticket sales and sponsors etc. to generate revenue. I think this would be an interesting fight.

1.5 millions is a lot of money for a guy who couldn't sell out a church basement in his own neighborhood.

He won't see round 12. But Pavliks team won't risk it. Nor should they.

I hope Williams takes the money. We really need this fight for the MW division.

No doubt this is a fight I would like to see. Maybe if offered 2 mil Williams would take it? It is a shot at THE Middleweight Championship not some trinket paper belt.

If Williams takes the fight and wins - he'll get more than 1.5 million going forward. If he loses - he won't lose his belt. It's almost one of those win-win situations. Hope this fight actually happens - it would be good for both of them.

If he gets brutally ko'd which I think he will, his career will never recover!

Exactly! I'm sure this fight will be PPV and might even have a countdown show. Williams needs this fight to build his name up and it's a shot at the linear champ. The money he's getting is enough IMO.

It would be good for Williams because now he can stay in one division and not worry about people not wanting to fight him because if he beats Pavlik and becomes undisputed champion he'll definately having people willing to fight him to establish themselves as the "top dog" in that division the only problem is he wont have the fights to build a legacy

I read Rafeal blog and it said about Williams team not Williams only about wanting more then 1.5 million. I hope Goosen and Hayman stop being greedy ******* and just accept 1.5 million. God i hope it happens. I would bet on Williams to beat Pavlik. <<<<I have that faith in Williams to win it.

1.5 mill (US) isnt chump change but how much was on the tble to begin with. Would a standard Williams fight net him more than 1.5mill...? If not then he i a fool not to take the oppotunity. I hate the politics of boxing, sometimes i think the UFC ave got the right method, by paying all their guys chump change.
