Just had time to check around. Same as last time. Nothing ever changes. Goosen came to his senses. I don't think he has the confidence. Pavlik is the lineal champ. Williams the challenger.
Name 2 current middleweights other than Pavlik who can beat Paul Williams. If you can't do that, then **** off.

I think Williams more than proved his worth at MW by thrashing Kolle and beating up Wright. The former isn't a contender, but he did go 6 with Andre Ward and Williams just sent him home in about 2 minutes.
It will be disgraceful on Joe Goosens part not to have this fight come off due to bull**** money issues, the middleweight division is one of boxing glamour division and this division is in need of a big fight and this is the only one available at the moment.
Pavlik should be favored. Don't be suprised to see Williams win a UD though. He could outwork Pavlik with his high workrate. Call me crazy or whatever you want but I think Williams can win a decision. The more I think about it, the more I lean towards a Williams victory. Pavlik sure has the edge in power but Williams can take a mean punch. Williams has the advantage in handspeed, footspeed and workrate.
It's not just a great fight. Now that AA is gone it's the only fight at 160. Williams needs to let go of the 147 class. Noone's stupid enough to fight PW there, and 154 is dead to the punisher too. Goosen should take a smaller prize for williams to make the pavlik fight, and make this thing happen. Noboby wants to see pavlik/sturm or pavlik/duddy, or pavlik/mora. This fight has to get made this year, or early 2010. there just isn't an option for either guy.
I don't think it will happen. Pavlik will not do it. Williams will win this fight. His style is a good boxing style and quick hands. Pavlik will not be able to set.
Not sure what you mean by "Pavlik will not do it." This is the opponent Pavlik picked. Williams might win the boxing match, but he WILL NOT win the fight.
It isn't signed yet and Pavlik is not taking chances. I doubt it will happen. Pavlik would rather fight the Rubio type fighter. We saw what happened when he fought the Hopkins level.
I think Pavlik will win. I see a knock out of Williams. I'm pretty sure I would bet that way and I'm pretty sure I would bet very heavy.
