Adamek-Golota in October?

By Michał Koper/www.bokser.org
According to several independent and reliable sources, a Polish “Fight of the Century” between four time heavyweight title challenger Andrew Golota and current IBF cruiserweight champion Tomasz Adamek will take place in October in Poland. The fight reportedly is not a done deal yet, but the negotiations are advanced with both Adamek and Golota willing to fight and satisfied with the financial offer. More details are expected to be announced soon.

I actually think Golota will probably beat him, but I do not want to see this fight happen.

Interesting fight....It should bring some good action if Golota is half what he was and is healthy....I see Golota scoring a KD or 2 here and winning a decision...somewhere around 116-112

Could be something like Golota-Mollo, but Adamek will show
more stamina and Golota will score legitimate KD.

At the end Golota wins close decision but Adamek will show
heart, skills, chin ... this way Golota will go closer his next
title shot and Adamek go back to CW where he have unfinished
business ... then maybe come back to HW in a year or two.

This way or another ... potential for a HW fight of the year!

It will be strange to see these two fight, Adamek needs to go right at Golota from the opening bell if he wants a shot at beating him. If Golota can hold it together and not fall apart early, he will get the knockout in the middle rounds.

Why don´t you want this fight to happen ? I think it is a very good matchup. For his first fight at heavy, Golota is very good opponent. Can´t wait to see how Adamek is able to deal with him. If he can take Golotas punch, there´s new force at heavy emerging.

Within the first three seconds. The gong hadn't even finished sounding when he was floored.

I give this to Adamek. Golota is old, frankly. This could very well be it for him.
