when paul beat cardona for the ibf lightweight title in 1999 he was a huge under-dog,and he literally boxed cardonas ears off using his right shoulder to make safe angles so cardona couldnt land big as pipo was loading up with the right all night but only landed approx 3 huge body shots as cardona can punch.spadaforas a world class southpaw still undefeated also he defended his title 7 or 8 times on the spin ,you gotta be very very good at least to do that.

Don't forget the sparring videos of him and Pretty girl Gayweather. He ****ed Floyd's **** up. That's gotta mean he'd win an actual fight.:bart

sarcasm from dantes spadafora was due to fight and was in shape while floyd was chubby with a shirt on and looked so slow youd have thought floyd had concrete boots on and gloves!

Jesus christ, has there ever been a mention of Spadafora without someone immediately posting the Mayweather sparring video? I guess it shows how good the guy was if the only thing notable about his career is a sparring session.

so winning the lightweight title from a top fighter in cardona and defending it 8 times isnt
notable?plus still he hasnt lost a fight, thats 1 thing him n floyd have in common i know pbf is miles better than paul but what your posting seems like only a crackhead would think like you.

You realize how many second rate sparring partners can claim they beat up Muhammad Ali in sparring sessions? Observing Ali's training camps in Deer Lake PA, it was a given that he wasn't going to be dazzling his spar mates. To clutch on to an good workout , and elevate it to be his legacy is pathetic on Spadafora's part. Much more revealing is Spadfora's 12 round struggle with Dorin. Paul was lucky to get a draw. In Dorin's next fight, he was splattered by Arturo Gatti in less than two rounds.
Spadfora's promising amatuer career was interupted by getting shot by the police. The shooting of a woman by Paul brought his professional career to a screeching halt. Since getting out of jail his comeback has been delayed by a parole violation and other distractions.
Let's keep things real and in perspective. While talented, Spadafora can't seem to decide if he wants to be a felon or a champion. He's already been both, but more and more he seems to be gravitating towards becoming a full time scum bag.
Instead of living on a sparring session that happened years ago, Paul needs some significant victorys against some respectable opponents to get into any real contention of winning a world title.

Actually Roch he's only unbeaten on paper everyone knows Dorin beat him convincingly and Dorin was the only top guy he actually fought.

HE's at 140 or 147 now, past his prime and he doesnt stand a chance in hell against any of the belts holders there, they'd all stop him

Listen unless there's some hidden conspiracy out there, this one is pretty cut n dry. He shot the chick.

And I can't believe people can have faith in a guy who hasn't shown an ounce of self control outside of the ring. It's jut not smart.
