I am surprised to hear that since Arreola and his promoter Goossen stated during a recent press luncheon that they are willing to face Vitali... You may be right about Toney being next for the older Klitschko brother.

Klitschko will TKO Arreola within 6. And Toney better turn back the clock if he wants to be successful against Klitschko.

Arreola's going to end up being the next David Haye if he keeps turning down fights with the Klitschkos.

I am not surprised at all. I had a feeling Goosen would not match Arreola with Vitaly at this stage as Arreola is too green to take on such an accomplished champion. We will have to wait for a final confirmation though.

As for Toney, no source has confirmed negotiations between Toney and Quitaly. He would be the logical choice but I am not sure at all HBO will approve the fight. It seems pretty obvious that Goossen wants to position JT for a title shot but HBO may not agree. So, let's wait and see.

Anyway, nice job lowblow, as you seem to have access to some insider information.

There seems to be quite a confusion about Arreola stepping back as Vitali0s next opponent, seems like he objected to a September date but he could be ready by the end of October...

Vitali and Vlad are fighting the best top ten heavyweights out there. Haye was not qualified to fight them. Haye was afraid to fight a top ten heavyweight.

I am sure Arreola would be ready physically to fight by October or November. The question is : Does Goossen want the fight at this stage as Arreola has not faced top opposition so far? Maybe Goossen will have no choice as HBO cerainly seemd to want the fight and I doubt they will be satisfied with someone like Toney. So, let's wait and see.

It should be the other way around.

First Toney-Vitali with Arreola - Maskaev on the undercard on October/November at the Staples Center. Both Toney and Arreola are well known in LA so the card would be a success. Furthermore, Arreola would gain much needed experience and this would build up the potential Arreola-Vitali fight for a later date. For his part, Vitrali would fight an old but still marketable ATG in Toney.

But, HBO thinks short term profit these day so I assume they will go for Arreola-Vitali directly.

:patsch Read the thread ! Has nothing to do with Haye.

Arreola is a hype job, Vitaly will end the hype. If Toney has anything left, he could be a more difficult fight for Vitaly.
