Ashley its a strange/bizzare/different format compared to the normal contender boxing series, instead of 16 fighters and 1 weight division they will have 14 fighters and 2 weight divisions (middle and super middle) , obviously this will leave uneven numbers after the first round of fights,so whats been mooted is that they will have a lucky loser come back or a round robin format, the winner of the whole thing does not pass go or even get the usual $250k and upwards ,the winner will get $50k , a holiday and a car .

The winner will face Mundine in April and the contender final will be on the mundine undercard in a proposed fight in january(possibly against medley or geale )

Filming starts in sydney august 14th till september 14 at fox studios.......

Thats how they always do the contender filming series they only last a month, 5 weeks tops.

Fights will be 5x3 until the final which is usually an 8 or 10 rounder, what u see on tv is all packaged bro.

Fighters usually come in for about 10 days before the first official fight, then its 1 fight, then sparring/training next day , then fight again and so on , if u get to the semi's yr fighting on average every 8 days.
