Holmes wins this.the worst fighter for George is a guy of around equal height and reach ,who has great boxing skills,is strong ,and owns a terrific jab.Foreman cut off the ring very well, and had an underated jab of his own ,but he had ZERO head movement,he blocked and parried punches with his gloves, straight punches LANDED on him,as in ZAIRE.Larry works behind the jab ,and begins to land his right around the halfway mark, if George is there at the end ,he would look like he did after the Shultz and Stewart fights. Larry by u dec.

Holmes is very seriously one of the most underrated heavyweights in history.

Maybe one of the easiest fights in the top 15 for Holmes.

Stylistically or because you don't rate Foreman?

    Agreed.

Holmes has really grown on me during the years. I'll always remember that uppercut he laid on Weaver and so many other of his fights.

He got robbed seriously against Spinks, for sure in their 2nd fight, imo.

Foreman didn't do well with master boxers and Holmes certainly was one of those.

    Holmes.
He controles Foreman with the Jab and quick right behind it.
Uses good movement and his excellant arm defense to keep Foreman @ the end of his punches.

I know, it's such a bad matchup for Foreman. Probably one of the worst fighters he could be matched up with.

    Yeah.

Also taking into consideration just what extraorindary punch resistance and recovery Holmes had (it's possible no man has ever been hit harder and survived) you've got to question even Foreman's puncher's chance...i suppose you could make a case for Holmes getting drawn into something stupid early in a very late round? One minute into round 13 or something?
