Gamboa now WBA regular Champion?

    I had heard from a very trusted source about a week ago that the WBA had anounced on their website that Gamboa is now the featherweight Regular WBA champion, i thought it was just a rumor but he said that they had put it on their chart and i think it was something like a pdf file they have on their website or something like that, but now i see on Boxrec that under his fight schedule that the fight for september 26th is defending the so called WBA title not the interim, did anyone else also notice this?

    Cant see why..unless John has relinquished his title, which I have heard nothing about.

    they said that he is in super champion status now and gamboa is the wba regular champ , i also heard that john is moving up to 130 after the juarez fight which would leave gamboa as the only champ

    WBA is one of the worst organizations in boxing with their champion, super champion, and champion in recess stuff its all plain BS they need to make up their mind and have one champion! and stop letting the same people fight for the belt all the time even though they lose (John Ruiz)

    Yeah, I heard about this weeks ago. The WBA pulled their usual **** and upgraded John to Super Champ although he only has 1 title, but no complants here.
