Golota gained a lot of muscle, he is around 270 now with low fat %. I think this is the fight where he will come into the ring with no fear. After his last fight he has absolutly nothing to lose.

I dont like the move but the fact of the matter is he cannot get a deal with any network to face Steve...nor does Steve bring in any kind of fans.Besides Steve the rest of the division is not very outgoing(Flores,Godfrey)

Adamek's promoter said they are not doing anything at heavyweight, not pursuing anything until Cunningham rematch.

I'm glad because it's a fight that demands a rematch. I would love to see a trilogy. But it won't happen unless someone pays them very well for it. Adamek's had a gruelling career and should be allowed to make better money if he can find it.

If Adamek wants the heavyweight paydays, and build up to a superfight for heavyweight title, that doesn't mean he's "ducking" Cunningham. What if he ended up fighting Eddie Chambers, Alexander Povetkin or David Haye for a heavyweight title? That's even tougher than fighting Cunningham. Golota would only be a stepping stone, hopefully. If Golota is more marketable than Cunningham, then maybe USS needs a new promoter.

It's silly to call Adamek a ducker. It might be wise to blame TV, who won't step up and pay him what he's worth. 2 weight champ and hugely exciting. After fights with Briggs, Ulrich, Briggs, Dawson, Bell, Banks and Cunningham, how can anyone call him a ducker? If he has an alternative, why take the low reward hard fights, if you can find big reward hard fights?

Adamek's promoter says it's just a rumour and that Cunningham is in the running.

This way or another fight with Golota should not be permanent move up to HW ... yet.
Admek should fight Cunningham soon and clean up the CW division first.

Kathy Duva says this is BS, and they're still trying to work something out with Cunningham. Check the Scene.

Read in the Polish press. He is already training for Adamek and showed up for the training around 270lbs of muscles not fat. His trainer said that he gained muscles. Golota doesnt get out of shape, he plays other sports when not training for a fight, tennis, skiing ect.

Interesting fact: Golota's current trainer Sam Colona is Adamek's former trainer and Adamek's current trainer Adrzej Gmitriuk is Golota's former trainer.

That's what my source from Main Events said, too.

However, I can tell you for a fact that Ziggy is very interested in making this fight happen. It was something he brought up repeatedly when I met him recently at an Adamek training camp.
