Yeah styles make fights. Just because Hopkins is still good enough to outclass Pavlik, is in no way an indication that he is still as good as he once was. Don't be ******ed. All calzaghe did was expose the same deterioration in Hopkins stamina and activity as Jermain Taylor did. In the early rounds, Calzaghe was getting schooled. If the fight happened in their prime Hopkins would've owned him. End of story.
Hopkins had his chance in 2002 and ducked Calzaqghe. Fact is, while prime Jones would probably have beaten Calzaghe, there was never a day in Hop's life where he would have beaten Calzaghe. And the thing of it is, you know that. This content is protected " WTF ??? I kept them bum-****ers away when I was in the joint, and now i'm getting ass-raped by a white boy"
Good fricking post right here . I mean REAL GOOD. Look at Taylor now. And what people think of his stamina
This content is protected Another fine display of Calzaghe...Man, I wish I could throw flurries like that!
Then why did he almost beat Calzaghe at 43? Why did Calzaghe win a split decision if Hopkins couldn't beat Calzaghe in his life? How could the undisputed middleweight champion of the world duck a WBO supermiddleweight beltholder? :huh The only thing I know, is that prime 4 prime, both Hopkins and Jones beat Calzaghe, fairly handily at that.
Manfredo head didnt even get pushed back!! THere is no force behind this . Calzaghe wins because no one trains for this girl fighting style. Instincts just tells them to cover up while his fans go nuts over this bull****.
Simple. Great fighter, could have/should have been greater. I.e dump the afraid of flying bs and forced a fight with Hopkins/RJJ sooner. A lot of people laugh at the idea he could have beaten them, I don't. I could never discredit a guy with that work rate and speed. Great chin too.
Calzaghe was good and I have respect for him... especially after what he did to Cherrypicker Roy Jones Jr.
