You kidding? "White" is the primary ESB demographic and almost absolute - probably 95%. That is largely the reason there are so many absurd poll results and asinine comparatives. You're preaching to the choir not striking any unique chord. A poll of world class athletes and ex-athletes would be discernibly different than what ESB produces.

Toney would have dominated any version of Calzaghe.

Still have yet to see anyone explain how James Toney is going to time the faster puncher, faster mover and better tactician in the ring.

Also Toney's "great" resume at MW? Filled with guys who were more shot than Roy Jones Jr is now by the time he got to them. He doesn't have a young champion at MW that he defeated in the spirit of Kessler or Lacy or Reid or Mitchell.

The simple fact is, fights are won by style - not whether or not you like the fighter, Calzaghe has a perfect style to deal with James Toney, he can beat him from the outside all night and due to his angles and footwork, while I suspect Toney will counter him early, he won't find the counter for the rest of the night

Hopkins showed us that - and whether or not you Toney fans (how there are so many left I have no clue) want to admit it, Old Popkins that Calzaghe beat, would have beaten James Toney at 160-168-175.

PS, if that poll was people like RJJ, Eubank, Hopkins, Benn, Nunn - they'd all put Calzaghe ahead of Toney.

Sure, go to a black American athlete and ask him what he thinks and you'll get James Toney (the same way you got Jeff Lacy)

    I'm a Brit, and I pick Toney.

I prefer clean punches over work rate any day

So far, anyone picking Toney? "TONEY WINS CAUSE HE COUNTERS"

Anyone picking Calzaghe gives an intelligent opinion about it, noting the handspeed difference, the footspeed, the ability to adapt, the fact that Toney has always struggled with workrate fighters and could never adapt if he was on the backfoot early.

    Typical.
