AA Might Kill Jermain Taylor

I tried to start a thread when this was announced but got no takers then. ONE robbery could bring the whole thing crashing down. Is Showtime positioned to flex some muscle? In the end it will be up the the 'appropriate' boxing commissions to select the judges and ref.

 

Bogus decisions or a poor job by a ref could hurt the tourney really bad. Imagine an Abraham/Miranda 1 situation on Showtime with the world watching. It would not matter who the fighters were. Something like that would destroy the tounaments credibility.

 

I'm not that familiar with the Showtime commentators. Can they be counted on to be fair? Even a fair fight with biased commentators won't work.

 

Coming after a loss Taylor should not be in this tournament, he should of fought someone like Bika or some other C level boxer. He needs to get his confidence back and fighting one of the top 5 smws is not going to help. AA by KO.

 

Jermain doe not even know how to spell tune-up fight!

Arthur "the can killer" Abraham is NOT a top 5 SMW. He has way less business in this tourney than Jermain Taylor.

 

AA has never faught anyone like taylor in any way (skill set) so I'm interested to see how he handles the situation. I see JT takin the first 3 rounds before AA steps up his attack. I don't know how it plays out from there. Too many intangibles in this match up of styles. JT had problems with another shell fighter in Winky wright. Totally different fighter in terms of power, how they throw (straight vs looping) and foot work but the shell is very simular. Both have long, thick arms for their size which block alot of the body while blocking upstairs at the same time.

If AA doesn't put enough constant pressure to slow jermaine down he will be in some trouble, not to mention that body attack needs to be the focal point of AA's gameplan. If JT survives then I think he will probably win a close one. But the question obviously is, Will he survive and will it be scored fair.

Hopefully the worst analyst of all time AL BURNSTIEN isn't commentating. Whenever he commentates i just start thinkin, "man he must have blown someone for that job because he dam sure doesn't know what he's talking about. He needs to quit commentating and sign a contract to be the spokesman for captain crunch.

 

Well, Taylor has great skills - and his former position on P4P top 10 lists illustrates this.

His problem is rounds 11 and 12. Can he get that together then he is VERY hard to beat for anyone.

In fact, I don't think anyone would really argue that Taylor has ever lost a fight to the likes of Hopkins, Pavlik, Froch etc. if the fights had been to 8. In both Hopkins fights for example Taylor was well ahead at the mid way point, and in both fights Hopkins came back when Taylor began to tire. And so on.

 

Taylor is a capable fighter who needed air for just 30 more seconds and he would be SMW champion. Of course he can beat the short Abraham if he fights clever. The not so funny part is the rambling bull**** assholery that IF Abraham nevertheless wins, and convincingly, that CAN only mean that Taylor is totally shot, as EVERYONE knows how Abraham is just total utter crap and wouldn't win against Kelly Pavliks grandmother. I would really like to boot a certain person in the balls, with a lot of start-up, instead of discussing this crap.

Why? The judges aren't listening to the commentators.

 

Commentators shape perception among casual fans, and casual fans are the majority of the viewers. I think that is what Hermit was talking about.

 

I thought that was obvious enough. I always understand what I mean.

 

I think Taylor will win a clear cut decision over AA, whom may be the most overrated fighter in the sport right now.

 

Jermaine Taylor is done, and fans love JT. Pav's fans will be rooting hard for JT. JT does not possess the technical style to beat AA. JT is just not strong enough anyway to beat AA anyway. Just look at their posts. All of them are geared towards who AA has fought, his punch technique, and his supposed flaws. Pav is a *****. He never wanted a fight with AA, and his fans know it lol...
