Lewis: "The Klitschko Brothers Should Fight - You Heard That Right - They Should"

Why not get paid for it?"

nah Chambers will beat Wlad and Vitali.

 

At this point Vitali should have maybe 1 or at maximum 2 more fights and then retire and then the spotlight can be right where it belongs on Wlad.

 

This is absurd.

 

The guy contradicts himself in the same sentence! Which way you wanna go Lennox??

Maybe he doesn't understand the values instilled into them, or what its like growing up in a family in the former soviet union. Families are families, but it's not the same as growing up in UK or Canada or Jamaica or wherever.

Yeah brothers can "get into it", but there's a difference between 2 average boys going at it and two extremely strong professional fighters going at it. I don't care what family you're from, it's not right to cause possibly permanent injury to a family member...just for the sake of sport and money. That's IF neither of them held back, which would be the only way the hypothetical fight would be legitimate.

 

You know, I have been a Lewis fan since the Olimpics, and I am always going to support the man. As much as I like the Klits, I am always the first to jump in and defend Lennox on these boards when the haters start crying about not giving Vitali the rematch.

Not withstanding all of that, he ought to let this alone. If he is not going to lace them up and climb in the ring with one or both of the Klits, then it is their division and they can do whatever they want with it.

 

Wlad is predictable with his jab, right hand, and left hook. He can't fight on the inside, someone is going to expose him soon, and it could be Chambers. Of course Chambers will fight an uphill battle given the size disadvantage, but he has a better shot than some people think.

Vitali is overrated, he looked like crap against Juan Carlos Gomez, he's old, and he's less skilled than his brother. Chambers is a MUCH better boxer than Gomez. Chambers would take Vitali to school and beat him down in the process. I give Chambers a higher chance beating Vitali than Wlad.

 

Lewis is absolutely right about this.

 

Juan Carlos Gomez was a legit top ten contender who dropped Wladimir Virchis, and outboxed Oliver McCall and Sam to earn his shot. Vitaly won almost every round, just as he did agaisnt Sam Peter.

Wlad has the best jab, hook and right hand in the division. Yeah they are predictable- it is almost always predicted in advance when they knock guys out.

 

Lewis is correct - they should fight. If I could punch my brother in the face, have a chance to unify an entire division, and make millions doing it, I'd sign on the dotted line in a heartbeat.

 

Who would win though?

At this point, I might actually pick Wlady.

 

And he looked like an amatuer against Vitali, it was a straight up crappy fight. Chambers would bring the fight to Vitali the same he did against Dimitrenko, and Vitali doesn't have the best defense, Chambers will bring the fight to Vitali and punish him.

Wlad could get away with out jabbing opponents that can't figure him out. I thought Sultan Ibragimov had a good chance, but had the wrong gameplan. Wlad's weakness is that he can't fight on the inside and to me that's a big weakness. If Chambers can get past Wlad's jab and be able to land his punches, he has a good chance.

 

I would not love to see the brothers fight. But Lewis is right. One Champion is needed.

Wlad will win by KO.
